My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Friends are nice, in the long run I'm looking for something serious but don't expect to find it.

I've alternated between being verbose in this space and not. This is one of those times when I keep it short.
What I’m doing with my life

Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

My favorite food is pizza, which is kind of cliched, but I love it so. There really aren't many foods or cuisines that I don't like; though I abhor fast food and find peas revolting. That's about it, really. I tend to find picky eaters very annoying. You know, the kinda people who have this long litany of foods they won't eat or don't like. It just bothers me, I'm not sure why. Probably because I'm a pig.

As for movies, here's a short list: The Hours, Once, The Prestige, All of Almodóvar's films, The English Patient, Lost In Translation, The Royal Tennenbaums, Rushmore, Heist, The Big Lebowski, Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?, Kill Bill, Jackie Brown, The Shawshank Redemption, North by Northwest, Vertigo, Pulp Fiction, Casablanca, The Godfather, Amelie, The Empire Strikes Back, Brick, Rear Window, The Constant Gardner, Good Morning Vietnam, The Science of Sleep, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, The Maltese Falcon, Magnolia, The Lion in Winter, 21 Grams, Babel, Akira, Howl's Moving Castle, Torch Song Trilogy, Gods and Monsters, Angels in America, Babel, Children of Men, Michael Collins, The Interpreter, Shortbus...

Books: Quite Nearly Everything I've Ever Read. Specifically: Like People In History, The Hours, A Home At The End Of The World, The Sun Also Rises, Invisible Monsters, House of Leaves, Three Soldiers, The Mars Trilogy, China Mountain Zhang, The Handmaid's Tale, The Road, Down and Out in the Magic Kingdom, The Time Traveler's Wife, and lots and lots more.

Lately I've been watching more movies than reading, but trying to get back into the habit of reading. Curse you, Netflix!

I thought about it and since music is very important to me I figured I'd better give a quick rundown:
I am crazy about Snow Patrol.
Nine Inch Nails, The Decemberists, Editors, Tori Amos, Kaskade, Damien Rice, The Beatles, Bright Eyes, Casey Stratton, Older U2, Older Depeche Mode, Frank Sinatra... I keep my ears open for newer electronic music, but nothing will ever be as good as Orbital 2, and I try to find new alternative, folk, indie, and singer songwriter stuff when I can. I hate most top 40 songs and don't generally like pop music, and absolutely detest commercial radio so it's sometimes very hard for me to find new music I like. I also have a terrible tendency to just sit and listen to stuff I already have when I should be exploring for new things. If you can introduce to some new stuff go right ahead.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.

Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
On a typical Friday night I am

The most private thing I’m willing to admit

Oh, one more thing: don't be too materialistic. I don't really care about the stuff you buy.
