My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
My name is Patrick, and I work by day as a neuroscientist/professor in the Yale Medical School. However, I am an artist at heart, and by night I paint, write, DJ, and compose electronic music. I also enjoy more traditionally masculine pursuits (my new favorite hobby is boxing!). All in all, I would say I am a pretty solid balance of left brain/right brain and masculine/feminine.

I live with my eight-year-old bulldog Gertie, who is more like my daughter than my dog. I work hard, but play and love much harder. I don't take life too seriously. However, I am very serious about my relationships. I am one of the most loyal men I know (a trait I luckily received from my father and grandfather). My father has been faithfully married to my mom for over 39 years, and my grandparents were together for 51 years!
What I’m doing with my life

Building a career in science, art, and music. Also, enjoying the search for love and the mystery of life.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.

Food: My favorites are Italian, German, Middle Eastern, and Thai, but I'll try (and attempt to cook) anything!

Movies: I love Dramas and Comedies. Some of my favorite dramas are Inception, Waking Life, Donnie Darko, The Godfather, The Last Temptation of Christ, Lost Highway, Pulp Fiction, and Blade Runner. There are too many comedies to list!

Books: Favorite authors are William Blake, Oscar Wilde, Arthur Rimbaud, Jack Kerouac, Terrence McKenna, and Arthur C. Clarke.

TV: Arrested Development, Seinfeld, Nova, The Daily Show, Shameless, The Sopranos, Conan, and How I Met Your Mother.

Music: Literally everything, but my favorites are classic/alternative rock and electronica.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
My family
My dog and kitten
My friends
My phone
My power animal
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
The meaning of it all. My family and friends. New ideas for my next painting or music composition. The role of cannabinoid receptors in normal and abnormal brain function. Lastly, where is the next party, and who do I want to bring as a guest?
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Out at dinner or the pub with friends.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I secretly like romantic comedies. :-/
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
'If you like Pina Coladas, and getting caught in the rain
If you're not into yoga, if you have half a brain
If you like making love at midnight, in the dunes on the cape
Then I'm the love that you've looked for; write to me and escape'

P.S. Kidding about the Yoga part!
