My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Work keeps me occupied; I organize and lead art tours to Europe with museum groups. I also teach graduate courses in art and architectural history at George Washington University in the fall and spring. I am an avid scuba diver and plan trips around where I'd like to dive next.

When I am home in DC I am pretty low key. I head to museums, plan dinner dates with friends, paint, take day trips out to vineyards, try to go to the gym, occasionally camp, ski, and try to squeeze in ample boating with my family. I much prefer a lovely meal and conversation over clubs and late sloppy nights.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Texas Holdem.
Drawing and painting.
Mimicking foreign accents.
Crossing the line.

Music: Happy music, sometimes mellow but if I start feeling sad I will change it immediately. If I want to be reflective I listen to Ludovico Einaudi. Haven't listened? Look him up! I love classical and contemporary piano music, orchestra as well. Wide variety from Italian and British pop to 60s rock. It really depends on what I am working on simultaneously but I tend to listen to a lot of instrumental music.

Movies: Action, drama, comedies, romantic comedies and especially historical films--NOT horror, I hate horror films. Some of my favorites: Tombstone, The Prestige, The Sound of Music, Indiana Jones (except the 4th), The Book Thief, Gladiator, U571. Anything historically related, I'm there.

Books: Anything regarding architecture, history, travel, art and biographies. Love, love to read about archaeology and WWII-related history. Nathaniel Hawthorne is sublime and generally any literature on the idea of the home is poignant.

Food: Coffee, wine, campari, olives, cheese, chocolate, strawberries, kale, steak tartare, tuna tartare, black label prosciutto, salmon lox, and truffle oil. I could live on Mediterranean, Sushi and Middle Eastern food forever. And southern French wine all the way!

Shows: Downton Abbey, Modern Family, new Girl, the Mindy Project (Mindy Kaling is hilarious), Friends, and anything about antiquity or World War II on the History Channel.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1 - my family
2 - my bed
3 - good coffee
4 - positive people
5 - a wicked sense of humor
6 - spotify
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
- Etymology.
- If I could be granted a super power, which one would I choose?
- Has technology really improved our quality of life or not?
- How much more would we know about the world (and antiquity) if the library at Alexandria hadn't been burned down?
-if I nap now, will I really get up in one hour?
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
- meeting a friend for a dinner date
- Possibly just at the gym and then in early for dinner, movie and a solid night's sleep
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I have a terrible (yet wonderful!) addiction to Amazon Prime.

I have a huge heart.
