I am young, ambitious, and a little stoned.

My Self-Summary

I'd basically class myself as a hipster/aesthete with ambitions to grow up and become a literary titan/taste-maker. I have big ambitions. I'm also a fan of doubling identities with a "/". I figured OkCupid would be a lot more efficient and less creepy than Craigslist. It'll also probably be a lot less amusing, random and funny, but that's a trade-off I'm willing to make.

I could list a lot of my character traits, but instead I'm gonna go all mumbo jumbo on you and say that I'm a Scorpio. Whatever the astrology sites say about me is probably 100% accurate. Unless it's a shitty site.

I've also started a blog lately, which I think is probably more reflective of "me" than this profile is (I sound a little bit like a jackass on this profile. If you're bored, check it out: http://effingjro.wordpress.com/

What I’m doing with my life

Wrapping up my summer writing grants for a non-profit in Mt. Airy, and gearing up for my senior year at Vassar. Highlights should include: personal growth, more theme parties, checking out grad school, my senior recital, smoking hookah in my back yard, collecting enough personal essays for a thesis, and putting together a safety net so I have a plan for my life post-graduation.

Ideally, getting into good writing program and/or moving to New York. These profiles are so helpful for my 5-year plan.

I’m really good at

Reading, writing and editing. Thrift-shopping. Calling bullshit. Singing. Rolling cigarette spliffs. Pretending not to be shy. Making lists.

The first things people usually notice about me

Once I get to know people, they usually either say:

A.) They thought I had really nice eyes
or
B.) They thought I was really intimidating

I kind of like both responses.

The six things I could never do without

1. Lil' Debbies
2. The Salvation Army
3. Trips to Brooklyn
4. My fantasy of becoming a trophy husband
5. Levis
6. School

On a typical Friday night I am

On one of two tracks:

1. Playing Lady Gaga/hipster electronica, probably wearing some kind of themed outfit, taking vodka shots, smoking cigarettes, dancing with my friends, and pregaming for a party that's almost never as good as the pregame

or

2. Playing Iron & Wine/indie folk, pulling on some flannel, lighting up a bowl, going on nighttime walks with my friends, and watching a movie that's more important for the images than the words

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

When I get dressed in the morning, the right pair of underwear is my top priority.

You should message me if

You want to!
