My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Openly concerned about my fellow man. Happy in most accounts of the word. Seriously, absolutely not serious. Empathetic to a fault. Faulty enough to illicit empathy. Very cognizant of my spelling and grammar, but I did just double check my spelling of cognizant. Atheist and relieved about it. Opinionated in subjects I'm familiar with and objective with those that I am not. Respect kindness. Really enjoy cooking. Really like to eat food I haven't cooked. My eyes are actually hazel, but, to those of you who are not nose to nose with me, you will not be sure of this. Sarcastic. Fond of intelligent and crude humor alike. Appreciative of neat places I've been and looking forward to traveling more and more.

I have a penchant for wandering off to another country for weeks or months at a time. Most recently backpacked through Europe for about 2 months. Have my eye on South America.

Recently took up a ridiculous interest in SCUBA diving. I'll be in Croatia and that area of the world and plan on diving as much as possible while out there. I'm new to this, so, if you dive and have tips, tricks, and "don't do this or you'll die" advice, lay it on me.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I have the luxury of being my own boss(!), discovering new and exciting ways explore the world, and trying to be more adventurous than your last date. Always working towards some spectacular life that will be the envy of all the kids who bullied me in middle school.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I have my fingers in a lot things. Which is not to say I'd don't find room for new experiences. My friends and family usually turn to me to fix their cars and computers, pose intellectual conversation, do their taxes (what the hell), watch their kids, go on adventures. Jack of all trades here, I suppose. Negotiation and salesmanship are two of my strong suits. I'll talk the pants off a car salesman and sell them to a pants-salesman. Yeah. I'm a decent cook, for sure.

Kindness and concern for others. Seriously. I have always been an advocate for the underdog, the oddity, the loner, the weird guy or gal in the corner. Most are misunderstood. Some are genuinely oblivious. Others have social or psychological disorders which impact their ability to acclimate to what ever standards are "proper" for interaction in society. Any way one looks at it, the general acceptance to toss these people to the side of courtesies, consideration, or kindness irks me to my core. For that, I do my best to just be nice. I'm not perfect, but hell, I try.

I'm a talker. I'll introduce myself to people if I'm somewhere unfamiliar and go from there. Or, maybe, if I am somewhere familiar I will reintroduce myself in some spectacular (to me?) way.

Bill Nye the Science Guy said "Every person you will ever meet knows something you don't." I believe that, no matter if it is minuscule or mundane, or life changing in nature, each person can attribute something to your life not previously known. Interesting concept.

Authors.. Isaac Asimov, Brent Weeks, Ray Bradbury, Dave Eggers etc, etc, etc! My father and I opened a used bookstore once in Massachusetts. Infer what you'd like from that statement. I like to read!

Some books include: Kite Runner, Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius, The Things They Carried, (currently) A Song of Ice and Fire serious (Game of thrones!)... on and on.

I read quite a bit. I couldn't survive without a decent book throughout the week. Big fan of fiction across most genres (except Vampire anything..who comes up with this stuff?)

I don't watch much TV. But, I will watch HIMYM, GoT sometimes. And Archer is good for a laugh.

Movies range all over the place. Love a good laugh.

Comics. The Sunday newspaper kind. Calvin and Hobbes pretty much set many, many life lessons for me. I'm lucky to have been given the books when I was young.

I will eat all the food. All of it.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
How all these people with GoPros always take better damn pictures than me. I want to look exciting and cool too, damn it.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Why does Friday have to be more important than my Tuesday? You really should ask what I do on Tuesdays.

I do some moderation on this site from time to time. In other words, I read the messages and see the pictures (shudder) that get reported.
Some of you are sick, strange people. :)

I ride a motorcycle and, sometimes, find this to be more enlightening than interaction with people.

You've ever considered that your own opinion could be just as flawed as another's.

Or you'd like to teach me how to play the piano in exchange for my company. That's a deal if I've ever seen one.
