My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm a rare breed of engineer that also enjoys the creative side of things. I'm addicted to live music - there's really nothing better. I love reading, going to the movies, trying new foods, being outside (hiking, camping, kayaking/canoeing, sitting on the beach), looking at/making art, and singing. I graduated college in 2013 and moved to Boston in September to start my first job. I'm loving the city so far but I really want to meet new people. I'm shy at first, but I've been known to spit out the occasional hilarious one-liner.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I work as an engineer at a start-up company that makes lasers! When I'm not at work, I get outside, volunteer, read, write, cook and watch movies.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I can edit the shit out of any piece of writing. I'm also really good at making a meal out of a seemingly empty pantry.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
People usually tell me I'm very quiet when they first meet me, but I open up very quickly.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

I couldn't pick a favorite book because I love so many. I recently read "Wild" by Cheryl Strayed and I couldn't put it down! "The Circle" by Dave Eggers was also amazing and you have to read it right now. I'm trying to read more classics. The library in Copley Square is one of my favorite places in the city.
My favorite movie has always been A Little Princess, but that's totally a kid's movie (not that I don't still watch it all the time...). My other favorite movies are An Education or Pulp Fiction. I also love classic horror films like Psycho and Rosemary's Baby, and terrible horror films that are so bad it's funny like The Gingerdead Man.
I don't watch TV too often, but I do love cooking shows, Project Runway and SNL.
I love every genre of music except country. I got the majority of the artists I like from the Rolling Stone subscription I had when I was 14, so the chances I know about current artists are slim. Some of my favorite artists are Lucius, Betty Who, Joss Stone, ZZ Ward, Allen Stone, Jamie Cullum, Rachael Yamagata, Interpol, Vanessa Carlton and Kanye West.
My favorite food is mac and cheese! I'm a pescatarian, meaning I don't eat any meat except fish, but I'm very adventurous when it comes to trying new foods! I love love love sushi.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1. Family
2. Friends
3. Books
4. Music
5. Nature
6. Laughter

In that order.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
What to make for dinner, what book to read next, why people like Katy Perry so much...
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Either drinking beer with friends or reading a book on the couch.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I once was in a contest where I ate a whole packet of dry hot chocolate mix (with marshmallows). I won. The prize was a Christian rap CD.
You should message me if

you're easygoing, like movies or books or concerts, like the outdoors, enjoy trying weird, new foods, and/or have a good sense of humor. Don't just message and say "hey" or "sup". That's super boring. Don't be super boring.
