My Self-Summary
I grew up in a small town in the midwest. While I sometimes like
loud exciting things, I prefer interesting discussions. I like to
travel and have been to some out of the way places like Svalbard
(there IS a polar bear kingdom). However, I've never been to China
and really want to go there sometime.

What I’m doing with my life
I study neurons, which are complex enough to hold my interest for
the foreseeable future. Outside the lab, I play lots of
racquetball, tennis, frisbee, basketball, and soccer. I also like
to play games and talk philosophy.
I’m really good at
Besides wicked nun chuck skills, I haven't mastered much. However,
I'm pretty good at a lot of different things: you can call me
dilettantish or well-rounded.
The first things people usually notice about me
With brown hair, brown eyes, and no accent, people often mistakenly
think that they know me already.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
Books
I love good writers. My current favorites are greek philosophers, russian novelists, and british historians. My taste changes frequently, though, so I'm usually bouncing between 6 or 10 different books. Some, I never finish.
Movies
I'm a sucker for nature documentaries. Foreign films can also draw me in. But, my favorite movies are stupid comedies.
Music
Brahms, Beethoven, and Tchaikovsky are a few of my favorite composers. Classic rock is awesome too, particularly the Stones and the Beatles. I'll listen to almost anything that has a good melody and/or singer.
Food
I love to eat, and I frequently try exotic food. I also love to cook :).

An interesting project and a lighthearted attitude are vital. Two
requirements are plenty.

Relaxing with friends, preparing for Saturday's adventures, or
something else.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
To save the animals, I stopped eating them in high school. However,
the meat smelled so delicious during a trip to Rome that I was
compelled to devour it, which I have been happily doing ever since.
