I have recently finished my PhD studies in the East Coast and have moved to the Bay Area for my work. I am very passionate about my job, which is at the intersection of engineering and science, and spend enough time concentrating on it to make sure that I am on the path for success. Beyond work, I am trying to explore the beautiful Bay Area and have fun as much as I can. I like hiking, running and traveling and enjoy checking out new movies and restaurants. I also like playing sports, particularly Soccer.

I have an eclectic taste when it comes to movies and music.

I like some of the old movies because they have very strong acts and plots (e.g. 12 Angry Men, Rear Window). While I enjoy the use of visual effects in recent movies, having strong acts/plots is still what makes me really like a movie. Here is a limited list of the movies that I like:
12 Angry Men, Vertigo, Rear Window, The Usual Suspects, Forrest Gump, Fight Club, Se7en, A Beautiful Mind, Gladiator, Hotel Rwanda, Inception, Midnight in Paris, Django Unchained (the most recent addition to the list :))

Besides Rock, Pop and Country music, I am a fan of House/Trance music!

Shows: The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, The Big Bang Theory, How I Met Your Mother, South Parks.
