My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Hello! I am a single guy, 26, looking for casual dating with the eventual goal of a relationship. So really what I'm interested is some no pressure talking and getting to know one another. I also am serious about meting in real life rather than nonstop messages, and do not very much appreciate flakes. Hopefully this is appealing enough thus far!

In short, I'm a no games, call it like I see it, kind of person. I'm not afraid to call someone out or be called out myself. Yes ladies, I'm a man not a boy, and I know what I want and how to get it. That's not to say I am not respectful, I identify as a feminist, and can't stand prejudice. I consider myself intelligent, ethical, and honest and have basic standards for people who I like to spend time with. This seems to be an important disclaimer in online dating, so if I'm even close to your standards yet please continue!

I'm a college graduate looking at masters programs as well as a good use for my bachelors degree. Which is in philosophy, so it's pretty damn near impossible (whatever parents, you were right, but I still don't care and enjoy it!). In other words, I'm a member of the Unemployed Philosophers Guild at the moment and have watch to prove it (I'm unemployed as a philosopher, need to make that distinction). I can be a bit of a nerd, but enjoy current events, especially just about anything going on outside the U.S.

I like someone who can hold intelligent conversation, can have fun and laugh, and is concerned with self improvement. Let's talk about space, the environment, social issues, and whatever you think psychology is, and could help me out).

If you couldn't tell by now, I abuse the hell out of commas, and get away with it by labeling them as "Oxford" in nature.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Experiencing the inevitable anguish of living a brief life in an absurd world

And you know, trying to have some fun doing it
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Trivia. For some reason I absorb factoids like a sponge. Jeopardy and Trivial Pusuit are kinda my thing. Go ahead, ask me something. Promise I won't use Google
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My hair. It turns all the heads. Usually makes the ladies jealous. I like to refer to it as my 'mane'. It's also earned me the nickname "the ginger lion"
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Music: VERY important. However, open to about anything. Jazz, Folk, Alternative, even catchy pop. Some e.g.'s: Cosmo Jarvis, The Mountain Goats, AWOLNATION, The Cardigans, Architecture in Helsinki, Miles Davis, Sufjan Stevens, Lana del Rey, Interpol, Tegan and Sara, Florence + The Machine. Just no newish country, sexist/misogynist rap, or grunge.

Books: Anything on philosophy (my main area of interest is Early Modern, so basically from the 14th to 18th century), Jose Saramago, Chuck Palahniuk, Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Richard Dawkins

Movies: Anything that makes you think or leaves an impression, and love dark comedy. Or if it's just fucked up. Waking Life, Requiem of a Dream, City of God, Cloud Atlas
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Cogito Ergo Sum
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Why? I'm what you call a chronic over-thinker
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?

It's the whole point of online dating, the whole message thing

And the 'casual sex' thing is just there for the infinitesimally small chance it could happen, because why not, in a parallel world it could happen. But I really have zero expectations towards it if you don't
