Originally from the Midwest, I've lived in Philly for only a year. I'm kind of a country guy adapting to living in the city. I prefer the freedom of the country but have really taken a liking to the conveniences and diversity of the city, like being able to walk to work and experience the wonderful variety of crazy people.

I’m a low-key, t-shirt and jeans kind of guy even though I wear a suit for most of the week. I'm trusting, loyal, and take care of my friends and family. I will always prefer having just one or two friends whom I can trust my life with as opposed to having a hundred acquaintances and "Facebook" friends. I'm very independent and self-motivated.

I love being outdoors backpacking, hiking, canoeing, or going to dog parks. I like to keep busy by working on projects as time allows. I love to build things, and the feelings of pride and accomplishment that come with creating or fixing something.

Working. A lot. But trying not to work so much.

I recently bought a bike for commuting and touring. The last time I was on a bike was during the previous century, so this new endevour is a bit intimidating but I know I'm going to love it. It gives me a whole new way to yell at bad drivers!

Making sarcastic or silly jokes about or during almost anything. Fixing things. Pretty good cook, too!

This question would be easier to answer if I hadn't lost my ability to read people's minds. If I had to guess though... I'd say they probably notice the face part of my body first, unless they are vision impaired, in which case they'd probably notice my sense of humor.

Books- Loved the book Patriots by James Wesley Rawles and Lights Out by David Crawford, plus a selection of books by Ayn Rand, Ron Paul, Tom Woods, Arthur Brooks. All-time favorite book is 1984, followed closely by A Brave New World. Classics. I guess I have a thing for the dystopian themes.

Favorite shows- The Simpsons, The Mighty Boosh, Top Gear, Stargate SG-1, 30 Rock, Arrested Development, Archer, Battlestar Galactica (the newer version.)

Music- Mostly anything with the exception of pop/radio songs and whatever hipsters think is good.

Food- Meat+veggies = happy. I love foods from all different cultures, and I'll try anything once.

If we're taking biological necessities like food, water, and air out of the equation, I'd have to say (in no particular order):
Chapstick
A good flashlight
A good pocket knife or multitool
Good boots
A pet
A few good friends I could trust with my life
