My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Just a genuine, relaxed guy with a good heart, random sense of humour, and a love of adventure. I love to get out and explore the island, wander the city and am always up for a lazy night in with a movie and good food. I'll even cook, I'm not half bad when I need to be.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
On moving into my new place I found a box of old watches, so I decided to link them all together and wear them as a belt, but when I finished I realized it was just a big waist of time...
So after that, if your still reading, congratulations on an amazing sense of humour, or just dogged determination to get through what you started, here it goes.
Im newly returned to Vic, and am looking forward to the bounty of cafes, breakfast spots, and bookshops. That said I still yearn to get out exploring, hiking, fishing, climbing, or just generally stomping around. It would be great to have someone along to share this great place with.
I'm a carpenter and love it, Ive been lucky to spend much of my time building homes and cabins for (mostly) really great people in remote places. Working with wood became the creative outlet that I was seeking after Art school, plus, I can build my house. Ironically I hate painting and will go to any length to avoid it.

Ive been an avid climber for quite a while, its the exploratory side of it that drew me in and keeps me loving it. Alpine sunrises, clouds drifting through forest hundreds of feet below, knowing your hands are the first human contact a place has ever had. It gets in your head.
And yet the lure of fly fishing has dragged me all over this province, the quiet focus is amazing, it can be a beautiful, calm experience in some of the most awe inspiring places.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Building things, houses, furniture etc. Telling really bad jokes. Hauling a pack up hills through thick brush, making strong coffee, mixing a martini and laughing. Stacking books because Im too distracted to build bookshelves, dodging "bookalanches"
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Books, climbing, the ocean, my friends, scotch, adventure, Dogs. Thats 7, I'm not the first to break this rule, I may well not be the last. While we're at it, Rivers! and Mountains! Throw in some road trips, Kenny Loggins soundtracks!, DAMN THE RULES! HOIST THE JIB!, POUR THE RUM! also quiet time, I enjoy my mellow down time... Arrr
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Building (I do a lot of my planning in my head) climbing, zombies (gotta stay prepared)... I don't know, my head is pretty random.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Depends on the season, in the city I'm probably relaxing reading a book. In the summer I'm driving up to the Eldred valley for a weekend of climbing or fly fishing. Every weekend is different though.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm willing to admit to anything I've done, but you have to earn a bit of trust.
