Greetings! My name is Angela. I am 23 and in flux. I say that because I do not know what I want to do career-wise. I'm sorry, I know there is nothing sexy about that. I am drawn to driven individuals, who have goals, know what they want out of life and are determined to get it. Saying I don't know what I want to do sounds like the opposite -thus, not so sexy. It is honest though and don't despair I am not a completely aimless person. I have goals about how I want to live life and what some of it will look like; I just haven't put my finger on the career that fits with the rest. Leaving me with this summer and the goal of finding such. My interests range from finance to natural health to flying and stagehand to real estate and SCUBA. Somewhere in there is the rest of my life and it is going to be awesome :)

What I am looking for can probably best be described as a kinky libertarian. Kinky because [actually a really long conversation] and libertarian because it speaks to the fundamental ideals I prescribe to. Below is an example of that and yes I know the topic is controversial but it feels like time to put a dangerous experiment out there.

I am looking for a true partner in life, someone who's company I throughly enjoy, someone to share every aspect of life with. I want to be equals and trek together, side by side, though this crazy adventure we call life.

I am looking for someone out of the box who loves to laugh and who does not play games. Honesty is very important. I would love to meet someone to DO things with; by that I mean get out, see the sun, go to the beach, dance in the rain, run out to SAK comedy club. I love anyone that can hold a conversation with me (connecting philosophy, religion, physics, biology, chemistry...) I'm a bit of a geek, or nerd or whatever you want to call it, and Proud of it! I love learning and would also like to find someone who is kind and passionate.

And please don't misinterpret my geeky-ness, I know NOTHING about video games. Not that there is anything wrong with them but I grew up without any consoles so sending me a note about how much you love video games and how awesome it is that I am a geek is not going to get you anywhere. Part of me is sad that I have completely missed out on what can be such a large part of our culture, another part of me is glad I'm not tempted by such a time waister.

Please have ambition. Please view the world in an out of the box way. Please be capable of intelligent, thought provoking conversation.

Remember philosophy is like religion which doesn't necessarily conflict with science especially biology and being healthy is important so you can have a clear enough mind to meditate and possibly teleport without breaking the laws of physics which just explains how chemistry works which leads us to condensed milk and really pretty fire balls.

One step at a time, accomplishing little goals to get to the big picture. Which will include degrees, fluency in a multitude of languages, a plane, and a family. But right now looks mostly like working at SeaWorld, that's right I'm a theater tech.
Plus I'll take over the world :)

addendum - on the point of God, I do not find myself believing in any religion I have encountered nor the gods they describe and worship. However, this does not rule out the possibility of a higher consciousness/God/maker/higher plane/other universes/ whatever you want to call it. It just means that I make no claim to understand such. ...I think I lean toward such existence.

The other day I didn't not have any customers to server so I was playing with some rope I found under the desk. I was trying to tie a double coin, but kept ending up with strange new knots I had never encountered before. I find it intriguing how one knot can look like something on one side, you turn it over and it looks completely different. Then, you pull on one point and stretch out a loop and the entire knot twists and turns and adjusts finding a new structure. How each part winds around the others and yet it is all part of the same strand. I can have fun with this for hours. The fluidity of the structure makes me think of molecules and how they might fold up.

Also, I have recently wondered how you might revamp an Indian slum (listening to the radio leads to these types of things). I was thinking it would be really cool to make housing that doesn't look like standard public housing, blocks of squat square buildings in drab colors. Perhaps you could have a building where the bottom floor is used for the commerce that is already common to the area. In fact, you could raise the building, leave the ground floor open so people could enjoy the air while conducting business. Then, you could use the second floor for more shops, with a little stair case that ascends to each little shop. Each apartment should have big windows; I don't like the idea of cutting people off from their environment; the sun, the view. To ensue this you could have every apartment with an outside wall, and the middle of the building- well it actually shouldn't be used for housing space, that should be open as well and have double helix wind turbines spinning and providing energy for the building. Something could be done to the roof to funnel wind down into this shaft. While the rest of the roof should be used for gardening. -- What do you think about while driving to work?

The radio also inspired this little gem: Can waist water from fracking (hehe BSG) be used for anything useful? It would be awesome if a circular system could be set up. Like the one they are building were "heat given off by an electric generator next to the greenhouse will keep the fish and lettuce warm during winter. Carbon dioxide exhausted by the generator will help grow algae to feed the fish. And, yes, fish waste will be used to fertilize the lettuce, after being sterilized with ultraviolet rays."

Nope this is an old one now as well, and every point and parcel of it has been picked over so please do pick something else to comment on- do black holes just get bigger and bigger as they absorb stars and gas, even if they release energy as radiation? (It is so cool that they convert (might) mass to energy, breaking the laws of physics is always cool.[yes i know they don't break the laws of physics]) If they just get bigger and bigger wouldn't they eventually absorb the entire universe and each other, what happens when two black holes meet? Do we need all that dark matter if back holes can just pull the universe together again? When all the black holes collide would it produce another big bang and start the universe all over again?

Oh! and manipulation v. kindness. They seem opposing ways of dealing with people but manipulation is effectively changing how people are acting, and if you smile at someone you can make them smile back; does that count as manipulation?
Is 'manipulation' then determined by intent?
Could you manipulate someone in a negative way without meaning to?
Then we come to the whole intent v. action thing.
And the road to hell being paved by a thousand good intentions.
