I like to cook. I read. A lot. I love National Geographic, canceled Sci-Fi TV shows, PBS documentaries, NPR on my morning drive, This American Life, and seeing movies at the Oriental. I like Indie Rock of the Magnetic Fields/Arcade Fire/Radiohead variety, but I will give anything (except Country, sorry) a listen. I love to see bands live that I've never heard of before. I worship my dog. I've traveled the world. I've lived in France and Japan.

I have a degree in acting that I never used. I have a degree in Education that I'm not sure I'm going to use. I'm starting school at UWM in September to get another degree in School Psychology that I'm hoping to use. And I've started a summer program to earn a degree in English Literature that's just for me. Either I'm a fool who loves to learn or a fool that loves to pay back student loans. Perhaps both. I think if I could be a professional student, I would be.

I'd like to become fluent in French. I'd like to visit South America. I'd like to hike the Appalachian Trail (with MUCH training needed:). I'd like to own a house someday (This will actually be a reality very soon. Now I'm looking forward to the DIY improvements!) I'd like to take a cross-country road trip to visit the National Parks out west. I'd like to go to New Orleans for Mardi Gras. I'd like to sing with a band. I'd like to bungee jump. I'd like to make a movie someday. I'd like to write a novel. I'd like to save the world:)

I like to try new things, visit new places, and learn about new stuff. I'd like to find someone that wants to do all of those things with me. I want to find someone who makes me want to be the best person I can be but will also appreciate my nerdiness and abundant faults. I want to be totally accepted and totally accepting.

I'm also moving back to the area after a long hiatus. I actually haven't lived in Milwaukee since I was in high school, so I'm interested in discovering, as an adult, all that this city has to offer.

Learning and reflecting...
I'm in a transition period right now. I had been teaching high school English, but I discovered that I was not best suited to the task. I'm starting an MS in School Psychology this fall, and I'm hoping that this career choice will better play to my strengths.
