My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I am of average height and rather quiet.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Oh dear, this is a cruel question or question-implying phrase. Obviously, if I were doing the right sort of thing with my life, I wouldn't be on a stupid online dating site.

I am, by trade, a computer programmer.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Modesty is my best quality. So, skip.
The first things people usually notice about me

'Please leave me alone' seems popular.

I have this (stupid, yes) theory that I am immune from crime because no one ever notices that I am around. So I just walk around in dark alleys a lot. It is true that I was mugged once in a MARTA station - which is inconvenient for my theory (and does not reflect well on Atlanta's transit authority) - but perhaps I was wearing something shiny which accidentally caught the light and sparkled in the mugger's eye. I do think he was just joking with me though because, after he took my $40, he said 'Man, I have to go get high' which - surely that was meant to be funny. I mean, he was playing the part that he thought I expected, for fun, I assume.

Anyway, no theory in the social sciences is perfect.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Once, I decided that I would have an answer to 'what is your favorite movie?' and that that answer would be 'Blade Runner'. I do like that movie, still. But there are too many items in the world, particularly items of music, for me to know what the right answer to this question is. And I'm certain that there are right answers and wrong answers to this question. Please do not try to explain the concept of subjectivity to me.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
The Simpsons (through, say, season 9) - These are very familiar to me and I find them comforting. They help me fall asleep.
An escape route - This is not a 'suicide' euphemism, not really. Just a cautious approach to situations.
Hair goop - I believe this is what the professionals call it. Sometimes my hair sticks up.

If I take an extra supply of each, I believe that will add up to six.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
A universal basic income. I don't know that such a thing is possible, given human nature and whatnot. We'd probably need more robots.

Edit - I don't honestly spend a lot of time thinking about this. This entry is somewhat just for show.

Further edit - I do spend some time thinking about it, though. Actually, I am currently running a personal experiment to see how useless people (i.e., me) will allow themselves to become given a UBI.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Let's check the calendar...
Book club - ooh, that sounds fun
Policemans' ball - I think that one is made up
Science Tavern - sounds pretty nerdy
Put dishes in dishwasher/look at stuff on the internet - not sure why that needs to be on the calendar
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
You mean to you, Mr. Internet? Not much.
Friendship is kind of empty if you've exposed all of your self to everyone.

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
If you are naturally cheerful (though cynical) and if you have the talent for maintaing close friendships through the years. You would be good for me. But, to be fair, since I don't really possess these qualities myself, anyone.
