My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I’m here for a simple reason. I’ve got a really close circle of friends which I know for a long time. It’s tight-knitted and everyone has been dating each other for a long time. So, I got a steady group of people hovering around in my life. I need this site to explode it a bit.

I should describe myself, I’m probably a half-insane geek who can go idle for two weeks and then go on a rampage for 3 months not stopping for a second, even to breath. Read a lot, about anything and everything, loves science stuff, history stuff. Play hockey cosom once a week, used to do a lot more sports and I kind of miss it.

I’m usually the comic relief, down to earth, no-nonsense type of guy. Can pretty much adapt to any situation.

But besides that, I don’t know in which bucket to put myself in. I might be too weird to be with the normal kids. And I’m too normal to hang out with the weird kids. But that’s me basically. I’m always on the fence trying to balance things in life.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
For leisure: read, watch TV shows, hanging out with friends, building something in my friends home, geeking out, playing hockey or volleyball (not lately). Not afraid to try new things, lately I went out in the middle or nowhere, hours from civilization on a fishing trip with friends even though never fished in my life.

To pay the bills and the rest, I’m a project manager for a automation company. Love it. Each day is a challenge and I must admit that I need that to thrive, if not, i’m going braindead. It suits my problem resolving skills.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Helping friends in their home projects. I got so much leverage on people I’ve helped over the years that I could probably build a home without even raising a finger. But like I say to them, I’m having a good time with friends, doing something productive and helping, even sweating along the ride without even paying for a gym membership, so as long as there is a cold one at the end of the day, they can abuse me all they want.

Besides that, I’m good at geeking out. I’ve got way too many useless infos in my head, and I’m known to have something to say about everything (in a good way, I’m not a know-it all, I’m an information sponge).
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
You should ask them. They say I’ve got a contagious laugh, always smiling and nothing is a problem when I’m around. So basically, i’m like an oversized puppy dog.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Book :
Books , books… anything readable ? (that do not includes Twitlight (sorry) and including cereal boxes) I Love history books like stuff from WW2 or international politics/history (yeah I like that). Lord of the Rings (read those a couple of times), Romance of the Three Kingdoms, Dan Simmons is my absolute favorite writer of all time and the Hyperion/Endemyon books are the best. Hubert Reeves is a must read. Robin Hobb, Glen Cook, freaking Walking Dead maniac (yes those are books to me, don’t judge, fan of the first hours)

Movies :
Here it’s anything. Mostly geek stuff, sci fi and such, but I can pretty much watch anything. My favorites ? I’ll limite myself but : Lords of the Rings (duh!), Alien (s) (not the mess of the last two), Prometheus, Fight Club, Scott Pilgrim vs The World, Hot Fuzz, Shaun of the Dead (did I say that I got a crush on everything by Edgar Wright and Simon Pegg ?), Red Cliffs, Bourne Trilogy, Green Zone (here comes the Paul Greengrass connection), Signs, Moon, Kill Bill, Pan’s Labyrinth, Nolan’s Batman Trilogy, etc etc. You can even go with foreign movies, I don’t mind the subtitles (prefer them in fact, to the freaking bad dubbed versions).

Shows :
Here again, geekiness is showing.Walking Dead, Fringe, Game of Thrones, Big Bang Theory, BSG, The IT Crowd, Flashpoint, The Wire, Top Gear, Mythbusters, etc

Music :
I’m stuck in my youth, so it’s mainly 90’s bands, but slowly evolving towards indie bands : Smashing Pumpkins, Soundgarden, RATM, Nine Inch Nails, Black Keys, Cage the Elephant, Modest Mouse, System of a Down, Wu-Tang Clan, IAM, Franz Ferdinand, Bloc Party, Daft Punk.

Food :
I like food, that’s it. If it’s edible, I will eat it. Seafood in particular. But I’m watching what goes on my plate.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Crap I won’t say, food, air, friends, family, too obvious
1- Internet
I don’t have the cable, so it’s all about the internet, sorry, that one thing was mainstream and obvious.
2- Car
So It’s hip and cool to be green, but damn it, I love my car. Yeah, I got a certain green conscience, but need the car for work purpose and bring me some liberty. Also, much more time efficient (15-20 minutes from work by car, over an hour by buses, try to beat that !)
3- Time for me
Don’t be mistaken, I like to be around people. But I need ‘’me’’ time. To read, play games, watch TV shows. I have to say I lied to friends about being free in the past to have some ME time because I needed it at that point. But it's rare don't worry ;)
4- Tequila
Yeah. I like beers and liquors but tequila holds a particular spot in my heart, so I’m a tequila snob. My friends tease me when I’m asking which brand of tequila is available, but I rubbed their nose in it when I’m telling them it’s not different than asking for different types of beers.
5- Trimestrial Weekend with the guys
We got something that last a full day once every 3 months with long time friends. It’s super geeky (don’t worry, no LARPing), ask a tons of preparations, but it’s a Friday/Saturday without wifes and kids and every one of the guys is looking to it every time. It’s awesome.
6- Stats
I don’t know, I like seeing numbers. They comfort me through logic. I love reading stats of anything (hockey, space traveling) Yeah I know, I’m weird.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
How humanity lacks natural predators. That and what to eat for dinner. And probably anything between those two.

How can the world be so stupid and so awesome at the same time.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
It’s the most basic night of my week. It’s usually a stay-at-home night were I’m blowing some steam from the week and chilling out, watching movies or playing games online with some foreign friends that will laugh at my french accent. Doesn’t mean i’m not out at some friends place, in a restaurant or in transit for the weekend. But i’m not panicking if I don’t have anything planned on Friday.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I don’t know.
Got psoriasis ?

You’re not creepy. I still don’t know why i’m using the internet for dating since it caused me a looot of weird situations ranking from bizarre, hurtful, to the bat shit crazy level. So I guess I’ve seen enough not to worry I guess.

Even if it’s to hang out. Sometimes, with all the crazy schedule of my friends, you have to take an appointment with them, 3 months in advance to schedule a restaurant night. So that's welcome too !
