I'm multifaceted person who has interests in technology, style, art, music, politics, history, etc. and would enjoy being with someone who enjoys good intelligent conversation (and is able to be less than serious at times) and enjoys things that are beautiful. I enjoy thinking up all manner of complicated ideas, but also enjoy just making people smile. :)

I really enjoy style and actually write a blog on the topic. I also do all sorts of things most guys can't be bothered with. Translation: enjoy shopping, sewing, etc. and think you will never find a guy who understands? Think again! :)

I actually enjoy dancing. The real kind where there are things such as rules and actual music that isn't so loud that you can't hold a conversation. More specifically: swing, waltz, English country/contra/square, etc. (I'm horrible at Latin dances, but I am willing to attempt to fake it... actually I'm not an expert by any stretch of the imagination; I'm somewhat of a beginner on certain forms of dance and am known to create my own moves on the fly).

I'm politically involved as much as my schedule allows in Maryland and France. I've worked with a number of campaigns and attended various conferences in Maryland, Virginia, and France. I'm a member of two political parties, a major one in Maryland and a minor one in France.

Also, please note that I have basically no interest in sports. If you're a die-hard fan, I'm sorry, I probably will not be able to share your enthusiasm. For an amusing explanation on my attitude towards sports, check youtube for a clip titled: "That Mitchell and Webb Look - Football".

Right now I'm working in IT and doing political things on the side. Like I mentioned in another field, I also have a huge interest in style and I sometimes sew things. :)

I'm also trying to transfer to a major European university to complete my studies. I'm working on the application process right now... I have all the paperwork ready to submit, as soon as the application process opens in June. (I'm also planning to switch to law from my current IT-based university background)

At work, people think I'm pretty good at making people's computers work the way they should and fixing their problems. (I get in trouble for people trying to circumvent the system and get to me directly for help)

Outside of work, I'm told that some people think I can write decently. Also, it's a universal fact that I'm always well-dressed! (People actually have to go out of their way to explain what they mean by casual)

Probably my unnaturally-perfect hair (I get teased if even one hair is out of alignment, as I do too good a job at styling it)... or the fact that I'm actually wearing grown-up clothing... lol

Small secret: many people are really unsure what to make of me upon first meeting. However, most people discover I'm a really fun person once they get past the initial culture shock, lol! (I grew up between cultures, missed a lot of pop-culture growing up, and appear to be halfway stuck in a timewarp for any time within the last 50-200 years ago!)

I love historical films (1960's, 1970's, James Bond, Audrey Hepburn, Carey Grant, etc.), period dramas (The Young Victoria, The Kennedy's, Wives and Daughters, The Tudors, The Illusionist), etc.

Also I've recently found that I enjoy some action and/or scifi films (R.E.D., James Bond, Bourne Trilogy, Caprica, Battlestar Gallactica, recent Star Trek film, Dr. Who, Torchwood, BBC Sherlock series, Inception, etc.). I enjoy comedy as well (Get Smart, The IT Crowd, Saturday Night Live, Les Guignols de L'Info, Le Petit Journal, Colbert Report). I'm a Janeite and member of JASNA, so you can count in Jane Austen-related stuff. I'm a fan of Downton Abbey as well!

Radio: I mostly listen to classical WETA, Europe1 (French variety radio), France Info (French News). I subscribe to Spotify and use Pandora at times.

Television: I don't actually own a TV, but I have something better! I also use the internet instead of cable, because I can pick what I want to watch. I use Netflix, Hulu Plus, Amazon Prime, and Vudu. Additionally, I enjoy watching shows from Canal+'s French TV website to stay in touch with what's happening over there.

As for food: the one thing I can cook are crepes... and I have cassonade (you should ask me what that is!) that I personally imported from France/Belgium. Let's just say it is very legit and totally local to where my family is from!

Political schemes (currently thinking about how to radically change Maryland's tax system), sewing projects (I have vests and neckwear in planning), places I might want to move to throughout the world, etc.

Anything could happen... usually I'm probably checking email/facebook, watching Netflix/Hulu Plus, chilling in general. Etc.

However, when possible, I like to spend time with friends, or go to concerts at the Kennedy Center, etc.

Sometimes I might study, sew, clean, do laundry, or other random things.

I actually cry in the movie theater if the film is emotional, but never when my family is present...

I’m looking for a girl who wants to live a life that is elegant, fun, unpredictable, flexible, and may include a bit of travel.

Secondly, if you like anything related to France... I consider myself to have some authority on the language and country.

Also... if you're the type who likes Mad Men’s style, Downton Abbey, or Jane Austen... those are all things we probably can find common ground on! :)
