I am ambitious, kind, and fun.
My Self-Summary
I'm Cassandra or Cass. Living in Manhattan going to
New York
University, doing the whole following my dreams thing in
New York
City. Empire State of mind much? haha.
I love meeting new people and I love to socialize and go out. My
friends say I'm a
great planner when it comes to getting people together to do stuff.
One of my hidden talents I suppose!
Music is my passion, I love listening to
it, creating it and whatever else one can do with it! I'm very down
to earth as well for I see no need to think that I'm better than
the next person. I also practice
yoga which is my alternative to the gym. I
think it's better than running my ass off for an hour! More fun,
anyway.
I LOVE to
travel
whether it's internationally or going upstate!
Europe = love.
I've got one
tattoo, maybe more one day? Not sure. all
depends on placement and what I think I'd like 50 years from now on
my body.
What I’m doing with my life
I've been living in NYC for 1+years, pursuing a master's degree in
music technology. I love the nightlife, I love the people I've met
here so far and I couldn't be happier with how my life is going.
The future is looking bright!
I’m really good at
music, specifically piano, music theory, ear-training, violin,
composition, have nearly perfect pitch!, remaining positive (98% of
the time), planning social events, listening to people's problems,
navigating my way through NYC, yoga, sleeping,
walking/avoiding the metro/taxi cab
when I can, laughing!,
sarcasm, multi-tasking,
The first things people usually notice about me
my smile or my big laugh, or my freckles
my honesty. Sorry, but I say what's on my mind. I don't filter
often. No offense!!
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
currently: musicophilia by oliver sacks, 2001: a space odyssey and
the books that follow in the "series"
I love star wars films, lord of the rings, district 9, anything by
wes anderson, anything comedic or dramatic. Hate anything with
megan fox, miley cyrus or any of that sort who think they can act.
I like going to see movies, so as long as it doesn't suck, I'm
there.
food: i love to try anything once! can't get enough of qdoba or
buffalo wild wings. caesar salads, italian, the list goes on.
music: anything but country & polka and hollywood starlets that
they think they can dance/sing/act all at once. I'm big on
electronic music and of course classical. anything in between is
good also.
The six things I could never do without
music.
internet :X
glasses/contact lenses..i'm nearly blind
fmylife.com (c'mon, everyone needs a pick-me-up!)
oxygen
things I can live without though:
Twitter
Twilight and any other vampire-related pop culture phenomenon
Lady Gaga.
iphone. yeah. I went there.
Flannel clothing
cable.
Starbucks
pastries
crappy roommates
I spend a lot of time thinking about
my future
money
education
general things I think about: why do bible-humpers exist?
can't we all just get along?
ungrateful people & rude people and why they live on
why stupid people breed, and so on.
hipsters...has an ethnography been done on them yet?
why do I always get a stare-down from manhattan women (especially
the ones that where designer clothes/accessories 24/7 and are the
douches that try to walk and operate their iPhone simultaneously
and fail)? Seriously, do I smell like a non-new yorker?
On a typical Friday night I am
out in the club! or at a movie theater, or wandering the streets of
New York w/ friends. maybe a comedy show? depends. I just go with
the flow.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
um. I'll get back to this one.
You should message me if
I make great conversations happen. I love sarcasm, talking about
intellectual things like music, film, life, and so on. I'm
spontaneous, except for my school schedule and yeah, I bet my laugh
will make you laugh more.
