I love travel, and I typically spend 6-8 weeks a year out of town... more than a couple of which you'd be welcome to join me for. I try to visit at least one new place every year, and I'm at 20 countries so far! In no particular order, my favorite cities in the world are Nice, Vienna, and Seattle.

I work at one of Canada's fastest growing startups, which is long hours but I'm surrounded by brilliant people doing incredible things. For fun, I do stand-up comedy and karaoke - when you're performing and you get a positive reaction from the crowd... it's the best drug there is.

I smell good. I've got a bit of a weakness for fancy cologne, but I know enough to not overdo it or say things like "base notes" in conversation.

Supportive friends, hot meals, cold drinks, good music, my passport, at least one of my notepads.

How people interact, and how that interaction is increasingly becoming mediated and shaped by technology. Online dating is one example - this isn't really how people met as recently as 10 years ago. It's fascinating to think about how different features and options change how people do the whole courtship thing in the 21st Century, and how unintended or unexpected behaviour can result from the decisions on what features to include or not.

This is all to say that I think OkTrends is fucking awesome.

Hanging out with coworkers early on, quiet dinner in the middle, karaoke or dancing with friends later. Sometimes karaoke WHILE dancing if it gets crazy.

I cry during movies. And not just Pixar movies.
