My self-summary
Here are some things: I was born in San Francisco, grew up in Portland, and went to school in Vermont and China. I am quiet, thoughtful, questioning, introverted, deeply empathetic. I hate arrogance. I enjoy riding my bicycle. I recently wrote "feminism?" on my to do list. When I see tree roots breaking through pavement, I frequently think to myself, "Fuck yes, Nature! Stick it to The Man!" I believe that empathy, compassion, kindness, infusions of beauty and generally, greater willingness to employ more relativistic and contextualized perspectives could begin to serve as powerful antidotes to some very complex and tragic problems in this world.
What I’m doing with my life
Ambition-wise: I'm a completing my pre-med post-bac; I aim to become a physician and am fascinated by where medicine and anthropology intersect.

Otherwise: I am suppose, like all of us, I am looking for joy and love and trying to do so with integrity, morality and compassion!

Between school, working in the ER, volunteering, and studying for the MCAT, life is definitely busy, but certainly not too busy to forge and maintain relationships.
I’m really good at
Run-on sentences. Tangential connections.

I spend a lot of time thinking about
Social and other types of justice, peace vs. justice (and if this versus belongs in that thought), balance.

The monologue from the beginning of I heart Huckabees (a mixture of swearing and existential questions) pretty much sums up what goes on in my head most of the time.
On a typical Friday night I am
Working on my handstands.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
In spite of being the daughter of a carpenter, I lack the capacity to hold pencils behind my ears. I feel like this must be due to some inherited deformity and I find it deeply unjust as well as inconvenient. In addition, I just think that squat toilets are highly superior to Western ones.
