Hey people :D

I'm hoping to meet like minded individuals in real life for a beer and just hang out.

I have a ridiculous sense of humour, but am also a deep thinker.
I don't believe in psychics, ghosts or god... see, I didn't even capitalise :-p

Contrary to popular belief, tattoos and piercings don't impress me (yes I have piercings).

I am not desperate and DYING to be in a relationship, however it would be nice.

In saying that though, I am picky about who I want to be with.
I have spent much of my time in the wrong relationships and so am now going about this in a different way.

It is important to me that my partner has their own friends.

I like watching a few dvd's, having a few beers, go to karaoke bars/live bands/stand up comedy and festivals etc...(NOT into clubbing) I DON'T DANCE and hate shopping! :-p

Some of my interests include singing/playing guitar, karaoke, playing pool, camping, movies, reading, live bands and science.

I've recently wanted to start doing new things though.
I went ice skating last week and really enjoyed myself!
Would love to go horse riding or even rock climbing.

I am inquisitive, humorous and compassionate.

Have just started playing in a covers duo and am seeking work in hospitality on the side.

Procrastinating....hey it's a gift :-P

Probably my eyes, they are sleepy looking.
When I was younger I was always accused of being stoned because of them haha.

Books:
I only read non fiction...usually text books about science, or more specifically pdf files on Textaloud. (I'm more into pod casts) my favourite is "The Skeptics Guide To The Universe"

TV:
Documentaries, The Simpsons, Dexter, Peep Show, Black Books, Flight Of The Conchords, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Seinfeld, Breaking Bad, It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia, Derren Brown, Penn & Teller: Bullshit!, MythBusters, The Big Bang Theory, The L Word, Frasier, OZ, Scrubs, The IT Crowd, Six Feet Under, The Goode Family, , The Office (UK and US) and Kath And Kim.

Music:
I listen to rock/blues/jazz/folk/soul/R&B (old school)/world/some classical/some metal. Rock bands and artists that i love in particular are Jeff Buckley, Katie Noonan, Led Zeppelin, Fiona Apple, The Mars Volta, george, Ani Difranco, Tori Amos, The Dresden Dolls, Chris Cornel, Pink Floyd, QOTSA, Tool, The Tea Party, Alanis Morissette, Damien Rice, Portishead and Bad Religion to name a few.

If I should travel alone now or wait until I meet others to travel with.
Why people have a problem with me not being ambitious by wanting to work part time only.
Why do some lesbians discriminate against me because I'm bisexual (isn't that just as bad as homophobia).
Neuroscience, Biology, the entire universe, what it's made up of and how it works.
Many other things.

Out with my mates, having a few drinks.
Either at a gig, having a jam or just watching some dvd's.
This is "typical" I do other things also.

I'm really just here to meet people who share similar interests, develop some real friendships and if it progresses over time maybe more.

If you're after something serious I'm happy to be with a social drinker but no drug users as I'm strongly against it.
I respect people who enjoy their own company enough to not have to be out of thier mind to have fun.
Also, I hate smoking.... but it's not an absolute deal breaker ;o)
