I've often been described as a "Renaissance woman." A few tidbits, just to pique your interest: second degree black belt and award-winning ballroom and Latin dancer who plays the cello, acts, and took an entire college course devoted to learning different accents. Ask to hear my Irish, but please don't make fun of my attempts at Brooklyn. You are as apt to find me bench pressing at the gym as dressing up elegantly to attend a benefit dinner... My goal is to bench press my own weight, which means I either need to get stronger or lose 10 pounds! ;)
While I am ambitious, I believe that integrity and compassion are the most important attributes a person can have. I strive to uphold these in my own life and want to meet someone who can inspire me to be a better person, just as I will hopefully inspire him. I am competitive yet not willing to walk over people to achieve my goals.
I love partaking in traditional intellectual discussion -- philosophy, politics, world events, religion, etc. At the same time, I can be quite silly; to the delight of my three sisters, I once composed an "epic poem" dedicated to a stuffed toy... ask me later. Although I definitely consider myself conservative, I try to judge each issue independently.
I am very against pornography, strip clubs, etc. and want to find someone who shares my belief that sexuality is a gift from God to help us bond and enjoy each other, rather than merely cheap entertainment.
If you want children or think you might, please do not contact me. I understand that I am unusual in this respect, but I have considered it carefully for many years and from many angles, and I simply do not want them. No one should have to compromise on an issue this important.
