I smile a lot.
I'm a nice girl who came from the suburbs outside Philly (go
Eagles! Now please continue on to make your dog-killer jokes). I
moved to the city for college, which was a huge change. But NYC has
taught me so much and I've learned to love it, which is why I'm
still here, paying way more than the average person for living
expenses. Although I claim to love the city, there are still a lot
of things I have yet to experience here. I like to have fun and
love trying new things. Since many of my friends from school are
still here, sometimes I just need someone else that gets excited
about corny/tourist stuff that I haven't done yet.
I speak sarcasm well and I love joking around. Anyone who can make
me laugh is a keeper.
What I’m doing with my life
I graduated from college last year and started working in forensic
accounting. Most people when they hear forensic are like "huh? dead
bodies?". But it's actually more working with lawyers and
investigating fraud, Bernie Madoff style. I think it's pretty
interesting, but it's definitely no CSI episode. I'm currently
getting my MBA in accounting/finance. I promise I'm not as boring
as that sounds haha
I’m really good at
Making light of a situation. I'm pretty easy going and it takes a
lot to put me in a bad mood. I can have fun pretty much anywhere as
long as I'm in good company. I'm kind of quiet at first, but once
I'm comfortable with you I am super outgoing and talkative.
I've also been told I'm good at telling it like it is. I'm not a
fan of fake people, so I try not to be one too. Sometimes it gets
me in trouble though, because people don't always like to hear the
The first things people usually notice about me
The unique headbands I always wear and my resemblance to the girl
in Twilight. You'd be surprised how many guys think that's a great
pick up line.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books - Harry Potter, before the movies ruined the series for
Movie - Rain Man
Show - I'm still waiting for Astronaut Mike Dexter...
Music - Jason Mraz, Coldplay
Food - Any type of Asian, but honestly any type of food generally
gets me excited. I'm always up to try something new, but I'm a huge
fan of the generic stuff too. Sometimes I just crave some good ole
Mac n' Cheese. Me and S'mac are good friends.
The six things I could never do without
1. My awesome friends!
2. Crossword puzzles
3. The gym - its a love/hate relationship
4. My cat, Riley
5. The city and everything you can do here, especially the great
restaurants and bars.
6. Netflix - I'm kind of pop culture deficient and it helps me
I spend a lot of time thinking about
The future. It's exciting thinking about all the opportunities I
will get and all the experiences I will have. "Real life", as I
call it, has just started. I can't wait to see what it has in
On a less serious note, I pretty much spend the entire second half
of the day at work thinking about what I'm going to do when I get
out of work. It makes me pretty unproductive after lunch but I have
plenty of time to think up fun things to do.
On a typical Friday night I am
Winding down from the work week. It usually depends on what
everyone is up to or how I'm feeling in the moment. Most Fridays
I'll go out to eat or to a bar with my close friends. I'm lucky
that most found jobs after college and haven't moved away. Other
weeks, I'll be in the mood for relaxing at home, maybe cooking
dinner with people and watching a movie. But I love to dance, so
usually that wins out.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm kind of a nerd. I love to read and I like working with numbers.
Sometimes I even like to play video games and am kind of in love
with my Wii. But that's more for the Netflix it streams to my
I also really love to organize things and make lists. I'm just not
so good at keeping things organized or actually doing the things on
