My self-summary
I'm a fun, ambitious, passionate woman that surrounds myself with intellectually curious and big hearted people who crack me up. I also appreciate a good dose of sarcasm.

I'm a Bay Area native with an east coast sensibility. I have bounced around the country for school and work but am truly happy to have settled back in Oakland. I think I have found a great balance here between work and play, city life and the outdoors, old childhood friends and new ones.

Nothing brings me more joy than bringing people together around great food and wine. I love to cook and throw elaborate dinner parties or spontaneous bbqs. I guess I qualify as a foodie but not the pretentious kind, the kind who finds inspiration at farmers markets, hole in the walls, Sunset Magazine and Cook's Illustrated. Well, maybe a little pretentious.

Other things to note: I skim the New York Times every morning but am not above watching TMZ at night (don't judge!). I believe that elections matter. I was once a competitive gymnast so I start to freak out if I don't exercise regularly. And, I am extremely close to my loud, large family that is scattered all around from Pittsburgh to Paris. A trip to visit my niece and nephew is always in the works.
What I’m doing with my life
I build and redevelop neighborhoods for a living and I fully own my city planning geekiness. I believe in the cliche that people are a product of their environment and I am dedicated to creating healthy communities where people can thrive. Some days though I dream about retiring and starting a B&B in my backyard, where I can cook all day, meet weary travelers and help them explore the beauty of the Bay Area.
I’m really good at
Planning a party
Connecting the dots
Making lists
Asking hard questions
Playing with kids
Making myself happy
Making others happy
The first things people usually notice about me
People always notice my hair. It's big and curly and every shade of brown and red.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I'm not going to be deep here: I miss Don Draper. Sundays without Mad Men is just sad. Top Chef (in all its incarnations), The Office, Modern Family, Jon Stewart, Parenthood and though slightly embarrassing to confess, I have recently started to DVR Chelsea Lately.
The six things I could never do without
In no particular order:
Traveling
Playing with my niece and nephew
Fresh Produce
Exercise
A fulfilling job
Family support
I spend a lot of time thinking about
What to make for dinner, where I should go on my next trip, where I parked my car and how to make the people around me happy.
On a typical Friday night I am
Sometimes it's a night out with friends, trying a new restaurant, having a few glasses of wine. Otherwise it's a night in with my sister, watching absolutely idiotic tv and ordering chinese food delivery.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Private things should be shared in private.
I’m looking for
  • Guys who like girls
  • Ages 35–50
  • Near me
  • Who are single
  • For new friends, long-term dating, short-term dating
You should message me if
You have a strong sense of who you are but don't take yourself too seriously. You are kind with a good soul, big heart and big opinions. Apathy annoys me. And if you happen to have season tickets to the Warriors or Zellerbach Cal Performances, I'm in!
