I am kind, passionate, and thoughtful.
My Self-Summary
Hmmmm well I love lots of things in life from sunshine to massive
thunderstorms, balsamic vinegar to noodle soup, dancing to having
naps in the afternoon. I'm creative and love to travel, give a lot
and enjoy my own space a lot too. I'm very expressive - rubbish
poker face! - and generally like to give anything a go (within
reason, I do have high standards and sound principles!).
What I’m doing with my life
Right now, life involves teaching at a small International School
in a lovely part of Bangkok. And loads more... exploring my new
home city and getting out of the concrete jungle at weekends and
during my fabulous holidays! Sharing life here with friends and
family back in Blighty. And new friends here. Yoga, swimming and
dancing when I get the chance. Reading books I've always meant to
read. All in all having the time of my life!
I’m really good at
Wandering and exploring, cooking, working stuff out, being daft,
listening and talking.
The first things people usually notice about me
Hmmmm my smile and openness.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
This is difficult. I have way too much to say on all of
these.
Books: A Suitable Boy, Midnight's Children, George's Marvellous
Medicine, East of Eden, the (original) Mr Men books, The World
According to Garp, 100 Years of Solitude, Dr Seuss.
Films: The Lost Boys, Bugsy Malone, The Godfather I and II,
Terminator, Some Like It Hot, Tsotsi, Pulp Fiction, The Sound of
Music, Goodfellas, any crap with Owen Wilson or Marky Mark!
Music: too much to choose from...Mozart, Happy Mondays, Thievery
Corporation, Afro Cuban, Lee Scratch Perry, Nina Simone,
Lemonjelly, Stevie Wonder, ABBA, Maria Callas singing anything,
Ella Fitzgerald, Motown, proper old Rhythm and Blues (Robert
Johnson et al), Bill Withers, Macy Gray, The Stone Roses.
Food: som tam and num tok (current addictions), my Mum's lasagne
and tiramisu, barbequed chicken, a fine salad with feta and avocado
and nuts and tomatoes and my brilliant dressing, fresh bread,
pizza, medium rare fillet steak, just about all Thai food apart
from weird stuff like durian.
The six things I could never do without
Sunshine
Freedom
Music
Laughing
Books
Friends and family
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Places I've been to and places I'll go to, the meaning of life
(?!), friends and family, how to kill that mozzie that's keeping me
awake.
On a typical Friday night I am
Out with friends, curled up with a glass of wine listening to music
or watching a film, dancing around while cooking.
You should message me if
You like the sound and look of me. You're someone who enjoys life
and makes the most of living in Thailand by exploring and trying
new things. Oh and if you're straightforward and honest.
