I am crazy-like-swayze, nocturnal, and I-Shut-Down-Haters.
My Self-Summary
You're still reading? I thought the self summary would scare you
away by now. Awesome. You rule.
Currently I'm 25, but I have big plans to turn 26 someday.
I work full time as a freelance illustrator. My big thing right now
is making band posters to promote the shows and be sold as
souvenirs to fans and collectors. I love screen printing and
drawing, but I really hope to find some way to publish my comic
books and travel more.
So far life is shaping up quite well. I am able to do what I enjoy
for a living and I have ambitions that confirm the lion blood
coursing in my veins.
What I’m doing with my life
I am self employed. I offer illustration and design services to
various clients and also make my own products that I sell
online.
My website is www.tragicsunshine.com
In order to ensure a bright future for myself, I have forbid myself
to watch Edward Scissorhands, my favorite movie, for ten years. I
have completed four years so far. I love that movie and have
watched it countless times. I have it in my room, looking at m,
begging me to watch it, but I don't. Why am I doing this? Because I
want to make sure that I have something to look forward to in the
future. Life will be good in six years. I also want to make sure I
can keep a promise to myself and follow through.
I’m really good at
Drawing, inking, scanning, coloring in Photoshop, screen printing,
and cutting posters. I also love staging surprises for people to
gleefully discover.
I also have an uncanny knack for saying the wrong thing at the
wrong time, like discussing cyborg whale reproductive anatomy while
a waitress is trying to take my order at a diner in Long Beach.
The first things people usually notice about me
Everyone says I have a dry sense of humor, highlighted by my
apparently monotone voice, but I think they're right. People tell
me I get way too excited about science and Star Wars too. If that's
a deal breaker for you, then you're crazy. Star Wars is the sexiest
thing a person can like.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
My favorite books are comic books. My favorite comic artist is
Chris Ware or Winsor McCay. Please don't make me choose.
I love many bands, but my favorite band is Modest Mouse. My
favorite Modest Mouse song right now is "Edit the Sad Parts".
My favorite movie is "Edward Scissorhands". Star Wars (Empire
Strikes Back) is an infinitely close second.
My favorite food is salmon. I wish I could snort it.
The six things I could never do without
Drawing, music, movies, unattainable girls, salmon, and my
computer.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Art ideas and themes. Most of my art time is spent thinking about
what I'll do. Once that's settled, execution is relatively quick.
word up.
On a typical Friday night I am
On the quest for new places to eat. I love food. Friday doesn't
mean to me what it does to people who work 9-5. As a freelancer, I
don't really have a set schedule, so all the days kind of run
together.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
is something you'll have to find out if you meet me. It have tons
of embarrassing (for me) stories that you can laugh at while my
insides grind together.
You should message me if
You feel like meeting up. I don't really like typing about myself
because it's stifling. I don't feel like any amount of typing
really communicates who I am and vice versa about others. I also
type really slow and it hurts my wrists.
