I am a fighter, determined, and a listener.
My Self-Summary
From June 9th-Mid August I will be at Fort Knox, Kentucky US Army
base. I will not be able to reply to any of your messages or
respond to you by way of IM. Once I get back, I will update
pictures and respond to all messages.
I am generally a laid out guy with no worries. While everyone
around me is going crazy, I tend to be calm and reserved. I put my
destiny in God's hands, and so I am rarely alarmed about a
challenge or turn of events.
I am a conservative Roman Catholic. When it comes to religion, I
tend to look for intellectual activities like reading, writing, and
listening. I try to consider charitable religious activities as
well, but I greatly enjoy theological debates.
I am social conservative Republican. I do have a few good Democrat
friends, so I am not personally hostile. Quite the opposite, I tend
to listen more than argue when confronted. I like to write about
politics more than personal confrontations. I enjoy working on
campaigns, and I would gladly start one for myself one of these
years.
I consider myself an internationalist. I have been to Western
Europe, Caribbean Islands, Mexico, and Canada. I hope to reach
every continent on the Earth and explore new cultures.
What I’m doing with my life
I am currently a senior at UC Davis with a major in Political
Science. I recently worked with the Republican National Committee
in Kansas for Congressional candidates. I hope to complete by BA by
the fall of 2009.
I am a PFC in the US Army National Guard, just finished Basic
Training and will be entering Officer Cadet School soon. I hope to
become an Army Chaplain or Military Lawyer.
In the long term future I am strongly considering a masters degree
for the purpose of teaching history/government. I am also
considering law enforcement or government administration. I have an
occupational desire to supervise, teach, and build things.
I’m really good at
Whatever I decide to work on: I have a knack on working obsessively
on a project until it is completed, but I also have a tendency to
multi-task at the same time. I have good long term memory on facts
and figures, as well selective memory (information I am currently
working with).
The first things people usually notice about me
I am a good listener and I tend to ask many questions about you and
what you do.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
Movies: Star Wars, Star Trek Next Generation, Independence Day,
Matrix Trilogy, Terminator Trilogy, Predator, Spider Man, Batman
Begins, X-Men, Aliens, Superman, Gladiator, 300, Top Gun, Casino
Royale, Lord of the Rings, Fearless, Hero, Land of the Forbidden
Kingdom, House of the Flying Daggers, Curse of the Golden Flower,
Passion of the Christ, Saving Private Ryan, Forest Gump,
Schindler's List, King Kong, Indiana Jones, Saw, RoboCop, Harry
Potter, and many more action/comedy movies.
Music:
Symphonic Metal including Nightwish, Within Temptation, Dragon
Force, Apocalyptica, Sonata Arctica, Stratovarius, Xandria, Epica,
Kamelot, and Lunatica.
Rock including Metalica, Disturbed, Bon Jovi, Linkin Park, Limp
Bizcuit, Papa Roach, Breaking Benjamin, Three Days Grace, Green
Day, and a lot of other bands.
I also enjoy classical music especially movie themes, some types of
techno trances, immediate music, some American soft rock, and on
occasion jazz at concerts. I am very picky with the songs I like
and seldom invest much time in the lyrics. My focus is more on the
instrumentation with leads me to disfavor Country, Rab, and Pop.
That said, I am very tolerant of other people's musical tastes
except for some kinds of Rap and harsher aspects of Rock.
Food: I am very picky with foods. I like very few fruits like
apples, oranges, peaches, grapes, and that's about it. I tend to
like fruit juices more than the actual fruits themselves. I am not
as picky with vegetables but basically the same deal. I do enjoy
all sorts of pastas, pizzas, Italian foods, most Chinese foods, and
some Mexican food. I tend to enjoy American hamburgers and hot
dogs. I like Root beer, Mountain Dew, Vault, Dr. Pepper, Grape
soda, Orange soda, but I can stand most other sodas as well. I do
not particularly like alcohol that much with the small exception of
some wines.
The six things I could never do without
Laptop or some other computer, cable television, my books, bike, my
DVD collection and CDs.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Politics, religion, movies, music, anime, current events, social
networking, writing.
On a typical Friday night I am
At Davis, I would often go bowling, visit the radio station, and go
to In and Out with friends. Sometimes we would do laser tag.
On most occasions, I am usually on the computer, watching tv, or
watching a movie. However, I am always open to new things and
specific events outside the house.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
I am sensitive to extreme cold or heat. I am most comfortable at 75
