My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Spicy Latina here. Proceed with caution..

Here I am, ever hopeful that Mr. Awesome does in fact exist. Perhaps he's wandering around in the woods with Sasquatch..
Have any of you guys seen him?

He's tall, dark, and handsome. He's HAPPY with his life MOST of the time. He's handy as all get out, and he's funny as fuch. He's stinkin' adorable, and if it happens to be you that's reading this, then by all means, do be in touch.

A little bit about me?
Fine.
I live here in Ann Arbor. I was born and raised between Alaska and Washington state, and I've lived on the west coast as well as the east coast. I spent a misguided, ultra beautiful, hippy-dippy year on Kaua'i, and I've been living the midwestern dream for over 10 years now. I like it here, but I'm still not sure it's my forever home. Time will tell...

So...I don't enjoy writing self-summaries, but I do enjoy reading them. In this next paragraph, I will reveal to you my quick wit, charming demeanor, and profound intelligence. I also feel compelled to let you know that I'm basically a happy woman who has learned to enjoy the single life for a good while now. I get sh*t done, and I usually get it done pretty darn well.

I can grow a beautiful, organic vegetable garden. I keep a beautiful and ultra cozy little home, and I enjoy farmer's markets, swimming in lakes and oceans, yoga, west african dance, fruit trees, my dog, my bike, singing, painting, drawing, and pretty much all of the domestic arts. I love community, sunshine, bike rides, family, hikes, flowers, floating in bodies of water both large and small, traveling, going out, and being in.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I work as a nurse in a pediatric ICU, and I do love my work very much. My first degree, many years ago was in studio art and art history, so whenever possible, I find time to get creative in one way or another.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
While trying to remain humble, I'll reveal that I am actually pretty good at most things that I really want to do. No, really.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I have some funky glasses.

I love getting lost in a good book. There's usually 3 or 4 books on my bedside that I rotate between. Any recommendations?

Music is important to me. It can turn any day around, and I love to rock out to all kinds of stuff. I can get into pretty much anything, but I love flamenco guitar, bluegrass, reggae, folky stuff, hip hop, and on and on and on. One of my stupid human tricks is my ability to remember the lyrics to pretty much everything. In another life, I'm pretty sure I was the lead singer of a rocking band.

I love NPR. This American Life. The Splendid Table. Good times.

I love me some wholesome food. Do you? I try to eat a local and mostly organic diet. I don't eat a lot of meat, but I'm not quite a vegetarian either. I love to cook traditional foods and I strive to be as good of a cook as my dear abuelita (grandmother).
