I'm a graduate student in bioengineering. Grew up in the Philippines and went to college in Boston. I was born and raised Catholic. I'm very passionate about my research, particularly the potential biology can have in many different areas of life.

I love reading, watching tv and movies, and trying out places to eat. I'm a big sports fan. I especially like watching basketball and football. I like to travel. I'm fairly adventurous and am usually willing to try something new.

I'm currently in the middle of a PhD program in bioengineering.

I can be a bit hyperactive at times. My friends would say I'm pretty enthusiastic and get visibly excited about things really easily.

Books - In general, I enjoy reading science fiction and fantasy books. The Ender Wiggin books (Orson Scott Card) and Wheel of Time series are probably my favorite

Movies - I watch a lot of movies. I try watching most of the Oscar nominated/well-reviewed ones, but I'm also a sucker for a good bad action movie. (recent movies I really liked are Argo and Silver Linings Playbook)

TV - This is probably my biggest vice. Not too much reality but if its on TV, I've probably tried to watch it (you can test me on this)

Musicals - My all time favorite musical is Les Miserables, followed by Wicked.

Music - Will listen to most genres, depends on my mood. My favorite artists are Sara Bareilles, Dave Matthews, John Mayer and Jason Mraz

Food - I love trying out new places to eat, I'm willing to try almost anything at least once. My favorite cuisine is probably Singaporean.

God, family, my gadgets (especially my phone and laptop), friends, tv shows, a good book

proteins and cells (for my research), my sports teams (even when its not the season), new things I want to do/try

I usually stay in on Fridays unless I'm convinced to go out. I'm probably catching up on tv, watching a movie or reading a book.

I root for the Yankees (long story...).

The most important thing I'm looking for someone that loves God and their family, everything else stems from that. I'm looking for someone intelligent and motivated, passionate about their beliefs and actively pursuing their goals. Being a bit of a nerd is definitely a bonus.
