I tend to watch a lot of documentaries. I find real life events
more interesting than fiction. Besides documentaries I prefer to
see an independent film over big budget films for the most part.
Besides documentaries (which are really too many to list, but I can
if requested) I will watch pretty much any Woody Allen film and
most 80's movies. If a movie has a good soundtrack or contains a
band I like I will most likely watch it (i.e. The Hunger, not a
great movie but had both Bauhaus and Bowie so i watched it).
I do not watch too much tv. If i do it tends to be an educational
program or a program dealing w/ history. Some of my favorite non
educational shows are Curb Your Enthusiasm, Bored to Death, Peep
Show, Boardwalk Empire, and Mad Men.
My music taste tends to vary. The genres I tend to listen to the
most are no wave, ambient, drone, indie, shoegaze, jazz, and other
various music types.
Specifics: Sonic Youth, My Bloody Valentine, Dinosaur Jr., Built to
Spill, Boards of Canada, Yo La Tengo, Pavement, Talking Heads
Husker Du, Pixies, Swans, Aphex Twin (mostly the ambient works),
Gas, Sleep, Sunn O)))), Boris, Earth, William Basinski, Ride, the
Replacements, Joy Division, Bauhaus, Siouxsie and the Banshees,
Slowdive, David Bowie, Ariel Pink, No Age, Celtic Frost, Art
Blakey, Mingus, John Cage, Mazzy Star, Steve O'Malley, New Order,
the Smiths, etc....i could go on forever.
I will pretty much eat any type of food except for hard boiled
eggs...for some reason I just don't like them.
I tend not to read too many books but I do read the news and a lot
of tutorials. I generally read all day (coding and such) so I tend
to relax more when home.
