My Self-Summary
All-around nice guy with a good sense of humor. I often laugh (out
loud) at my own jokes. I'm a closet nerd. I dig good grammar, and find big
words amusing (especially when a more prosaic one would have
sufficed). I enjoy puns. I started doing yoga a few years ago, and am more
flexible than most men. I tan easily. My hair seems to grow really
quickly, so I frequently, yet unintentionally, have new hairstyles.
I like to think that I am kind, compassionate, and empathetic.
What I’m doing with my life
I spent 10+ years working for corporate America in advertising,
marketing, and technology management. I'm excited, yet nervous, to
start school this fall to pursue my dream career.
My first "real" job out of college was at a Spanish TV station. In addition to my official duties (crunching and spinning Nielsen numbers), I got to do fun, unofficial things like voice-overs for commercials, and really unofficial things like translate office gossip for my monolingual coworkers.

I pick up foreign languages pretty
easily. I can also squeeze the last bit of toothpaste out of the
tube.
The first things people usually notice about me
This really depends on context. If I were standing next to my
parents, you might think, "wow, he's really tall." If you catch me
after a joke, you might think "wow, he's got a really distinct
laugh compared to his deep manly voice." If you see me at
Neighbor's on '80s Night, you might think "wow, he sure can do the
robot!"
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
I love the Almodovar movies, in particular
Mujeres al borde de un ataque a los nervios (Women on the Verge of
a Nervous Breakdown). 9 to 5 is pretty good too.
I like most food, but I especially love sushi. Chicken piccata is my favorite Italian-style dish. I prefer chow fun to chow mein, Tom Yum Gai to Tom Kha Gai, and whole black beans to refried pinto beans.
Tea is my caffeinated beverage of choice. Chai, Oolong, Darjeeling and Earl Grey are my favorites.
