I am in an open, loving, long-term relationship (married) with my wife of 9 years. We have an open relationship and describe ourselves as polyamorous. I believe that people can have more than one honest, satisfying, and emotionally-rewarding relationship at a time.

I am a medical doctor currently finishing a medical residency at a local hospital.

Both loved and was disappointed with the "swinging" scene (in Portland at any rate). Feel free to ask me why. We eventually realized the improbability of finding both spiritual and physical compatibility for both partners of a couple.

It made more sense to play separately, always being open with one another about people we were interested in, how we both were feeling about things, and processing jealosy, etc. We have made a strong commitment to honesty, communication, and respect.

My wife has luckily found a great guy for a long-term love affair. And while I remain deeply committed to her, I would like to go out on fun dates with women who are intelligent, introspective, and have a good sense of humor.
