My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
THIS IS THE ABRIDGED VERSION OF MY PROFILE (the mega-profile is linked below for those intrepid enough to follow...)

OK. So. My profile used to be rrrrreally long... Too long. So I decided to cut it back dramatically. I've "archived" my previously ginormous profile for posterity HERE (just in case you're a more voracious reader by nature...). You'll also probably find answers there to any burning questions you may have after perusing this...

And so it was decreed... Profile V2.0 was brought forth. Re-born from the ashes of the tome that once roamed here...

Me:
- legitimately nice guy
- very intelligent
- well spoken
- active & fit
- never lie about my age, and very rarely act it
- handsome in a worldly, sophisticated kinda way (if you tilt
your head and squint juuuust right...)
- low maintenance
- romantic/thoughtful (e.g., flowers for no reason, actually wanting to know about your day - for real, breakfast in bed, and oh so very much more...)
- frequent world traveler/adventure seeker
- outgoing/gregarious
- funny (really!)
- charming, but not smarmy (maybe sometimes... a little...)
- tattooed (tastefully)
- great listener
- high social aptitude (cocktail party ninja...!)
- pretty mad (and diverse) culinary skills
- excellent debater
- your Mother will love me - and that's a promise
- AND, seriously, how could you not like a guy who would have a dog as cute as THIS?

You:
- same, except... you know... a girl (tattooed optional of course)
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Working hard, trying to play as hard (although rarely succeeding, have to admit). Going through a drama-free, low volume divorce - probably to be completed by Summer's end if I had to guess. (Living apart for the past 3 years.)

Learning. Always learning.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Cooking, listening, learning, adapting, mediating disputes, speaking in front of large audiences, problem solving.

And back rubs.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
- voice (evidently I have kind of a nice voice...)
- vocabulary (fan of language)
- personality/general demeanor (I get along with damn near everyone)
- sense of humor
- confidence
- my incredibly smooth shave

The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
- my family, both immediate and extended
- Earth's atmosphere
- good ingredients, and thus...
- good food
- things to ponder & learn
- readily available transportation (and a passport)

(Yeah... I know... that's seven. I'm not good at math.)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
My son's future, when I'll next be making sous vide tenderloin, whether or not I should write a book, why I think so much...
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
...doing whatever is appropriate and customary for whomever I'm with, depending upon on where I am in the world at that time.

Or the exact opposite of that.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm borderline terrified of spiders.
