I'm pretty much a non-nerdy geek. I was pretty popular in all three of the highschools I went to, I had a pretty broad range of friends, and I went to three, because my family moved rather often. Not because we were a military family, nor were we in the witness protection program, but simply because that's my family. They moved a lot, and they were usually dirt broke.
Most of my life has been spent living in either cities, or suburbs. I've lived in New Jersey (Where I was born, in fact. That was Neptune, New Jersey, which means I'm pretty much out of this world.), Maryland, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, and now I'm living in South Carolina.
I'm a licensed massage therapist, but with the economy doing so badly, I had to switch over to other professions temporarily. I ended up working in a kitchen in a rather expensive restaurant, with absolutely no experience cooking. Quite literally, I couldn't even cook an egg when I started there. After my first three months of working there, I could cook you a mushroom and spinach-stuffed, cayenne-panko breaded broiled lamb shoulder, on a bed of garlic-sauteed spinach, with a perfect almond/chocolate souffle, topped with almond/vanilla custard.
Basically, I learn fast, and I love to learn new things. Nothing excites me more than learning something new, or figuring out how something works, other than perhaps reading a good book. I also spend a fairly decent amount of time on the computer, both learning new things, and gaming.
I enjoy writing, and I am fairly good at writing with great detail, but am especially good at writing action scenes. Unfortunately, most of my characters die at the end of any short story I write.
One of my little secret dreams is to move out into the country one day and have myself a farm. I pretty much have little daydreams of owning a few horses and trail riding through the woods. -I'm actually learning trail riding now. I've gotten control during a canter down, now I need to move beyond that. It's pretty thrilling, tearing along on horseback.-
Honestly, this is really only the tip of who I am, and no one wants to dig through a whole novel on someone. I am who I am, and I'm a generally nice guy, who doesn't let it go to the point where I get walked over. I'm bluntly honest most of the time, I hate to lie, I don't play games and I don't want to deal with the drama of people who play games. I can be a kid at times, I suppose, but I always stick to my responsibility, and if I make a promise, I will always keep it, even to my own detriment at times. To really simplify it, I'm just someone you have to get to know through talking to me.
I'm pretty much fine with just meeting friends on here, having someone to hang out with, maybe go grab a few drinks, or see a few movies, have some deep and stimulating intellectual conversations. If it goes beyond that, that would be cool. If it doesn't no big deal, at least I got to meet someone new, and learn something new. However, if someone is going to make me fall for them, they're probably going to be someone with a hint of innocence, but a lot of passion. Someone who has no problem expressing emotion and affection towards their man when they've got them alone. Someone who is capable of keeping up with me intellectually, and someone who doesn't mind me geeking out, or going off on a tangent, whenever I figure something new out and want to share it with them, or when they get me rolling on one of the subjects that I'm extremely knowledgeable about. Someone who simulates me intellectually, will likely stimulate me emotionally. If they can combine that with physical affection and a capability of making me feel wanted and important to them, then they've got a pretty good chance of getting my attention.
