My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Here are the cliff notes:
- I am a classically trained musician and I love everything to do with the arts.
- Cooking is my passion; my friends say I’m becoming a regular Martha Jewart.
- I’ve been told I’m a good audience for bad jokes
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I teach music by day and play the clarinet by night. My dream is to someday create a music education program for high-risk youth. And, maybe to learn to make pasta from an Italian grandmother in Italy. When I'm not experimenting in the kitchen, I'm working towards a half marathon.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
belly laughing
getting lost on a mountain in Patagonia . Don’t worry, I made it out alive.
throwing dinner parties
playing board games
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
my Shirley Temple curls

My musical tastes are discerning but non-prejudicial and range from Fleet Foxes, Good Old War, Simon and Garfunkel and The Beatles to Brahms, Shostakovich and Stravinsky.

I never get tired of Seinfeld reruns or Modern Family marathons and Jon Stewart is my idol. If I'm in the mood for something a little more dramatic, Downton Abbey or Breaking Bad usually do the trick. Movie-wise, I'm always up for a Batman movie (Christopher Nolan versions, of course) and I definitely have a selection of rom-com favorites to put a smile on my face. To Kill a Mocking Bird will forever be my all time favorite book and the Millenium Trilogy may be a close second.

I love Doner Kabob in Munich/Berlin/Vienna/Paris, Falafel in Israel, Ice Cream Cake (with mom's homemade ice cream), Completos in Chile, Fro-Yo in Columbia Heights and Fried Plantains and Eggplant general.

Favorite things wouldn't be complete without a shout-out to NPR and the Washington Post Sunday Crossword Puzzle
