I am eclectic, generous, and on the move.
My Self-Summary
I'll put this simply. I'm seeking a path to spiritual enlightenment
but I am wandering a lot along the way.
I took a big adventure this summer hiking 187 miles accross desert
and mountain. Then I spent a month in India. These aren't the only
amazing trips I've taken in my life but they are definitely two
that changed my life in many ways.
They were dreams fulfilled as was my move to portland and
everything that has come after. In such a short time I achieved my
goals and yet the hard work has just begun. I live life boldly and
though I don't always seize the day I am always open to the
adventure.
What I’m doing with my life
Trying to teach myself how to live a more aware life while keeping
a laid back attitude towards things.
I am working on a project to raise money for music education. I
just feel like it's time to give back to young minds.
I am teaching myself more music on the guitar, working on a zine
with a friend, and reading a book on Buddhism.
I listen to NPR podcasts whenever I can so I can try to stay up
with what's going on in the world.
I really want to go out and start doing some more hiking and
camping but the weather is turning on me as we speak.
I need to find some sort of creative musical outlet so I'm going to
try to put together a project with someone, but I'm not sure what
we're going to do.
Otherwise I'm just open to the experience when I can be and I'm
always secretly scheming how to get back to India so I can lie on
the beach for a couple months or live in the foothills of the
Himalayas and teach Tibetan monks English.
I’m really good at
singing,
writing,
dancing, conversation,standing up
for what I believe in, seeking to be kind to others, learning new
things, adapting to new situations, being sincere even if I am
sometimes too direct
The first things people usually notice about me
I have a bit of a wit and can often be sarcastic. I am confident
and well spoken but I can be ridiculous if the situation
merits.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food
Books: Jitterbug Perfume, Survivor, Martian Chronicles, Cats
Cradle, Breakfast of Champions, Steppenwolf, On Libery, Kafka the
Short Stories
Movies: I like Documentaries, Things with subtitles, and the
occasional low brow action or comedy. I really try to not be a snob
about much
Music: I like everything from Radio Head to the Avett Brothers from
Phish to Deltron. My tastes are variable but I don't like crazy
death metal or bands whose lyrics sound like they were copied out a
7th graders diary
The six things I could never do without
Struggle
Truth
Growth
Discipline
Peace
Curiosity
I spend a lot of time thinking about
How to live life in peace with the world around me and in balance
with my community without sacrificing my identity or individual
perspective.
Plotting how to escape to a distant place with a pleasant companion
to relax and reflect
On a typical Friday night I am
Actually working, being in the music business means I'm busy during
the weekend quite a bit, but that's the price you pay to do what
you love and work with great music.
On my nights off I always try to do something new, but it usually
involves just spending times with friends talking or hanging out.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
I am honest but will often argue points of view I don't personally
agree with, because ideas challenged are ideas strengthened.
You should message me if
You don't mind that I'm busy on the weekends.
Are looking for someone to take adventures with someday.
Or if something I said spoke to you. You might have something to
teach me and I hope I will have something to share as well.
