Books: Typical topics include neuroscience, Buddhism, sociology,
psychology... lots of -ologies. Currently reading The Brain that
Changes Itself and What the Buddha Taught.
Graphic Novels/Comics: Calvin & Hobbes, Preacher, Bone, V for
Vendetta, Watchmen, Fables, Y the Last Man, 100 Bullets,
Cerebus
Movies: The Shawshank Redemption, 12 Monkeys, Pulp Fiction, Fight
Club, Pan's Labyrinth, Zombieland. Movies with lots of drama, dark
humor or surrealism especially appeal to me.
Music: Lots of rock and alternative stuff, though lately its just
been a bunch of trip-hop (Massive Attack) and post-rock (GY!BE) off
Pandora
TV Shows: Dexter, Twin Peaks, The Wire, Band of Brothers, Six Feet
Under, Boardwalk Empire, Avatar, Battlestar Galactica, Heroes
(Season 1!), South Park, old school Simpsons, Game of Thrones, The
Daily Show
Food: I will consume all on this earth. I LOVE trying any new and
different foods and I rarely eat the same thing at a restaurant
twice. A few recent gastronomical explorations: Cow tongue. The
texture and taste was fine, but the visual of a sliced up tongue
was pretty cringeworthy. Hot grass jelly pudding. It's not that it
tasted bad (it didn't actually taste much like anything) but it was
the general feeling of wrongness that ensued. You know that scene
from Star Wars where he felt a millionbillionwhatever voices crying
out at once? Yeah like that.
