97.1 FM The Drive HD2
97.1 The Drive is an extremely popular classic rock station here in Chicagoland, maybe one of the best around. But nothing compares to the amazing variety of classic rock on The Drive's Deep Tracks HD2 station, which you can pick up on an HD radio or stream from their website here:
The Drive Deep Tracks HD2 is the most AMAZING variety, just the right amount of popular tracks and deep tracks to get you through the workday. Combine that with NO COMMERCIALS, and - amazingly - a DJ (Steve Downs? I don't pay enough attention to know for sure) - I guess Steve isn't live because he never brings up current events or traffic or shit, but nonetheless way cooler than a robo-DJ. Granted we're not all in the mood for classic rock all the time (well, I'm not anyways), but when I am it's absolutely THE BEST classic rock station you wll find anywhere online or on the radio.....
GIVE IT A LISTEN: you won't find anything
better!

My 1st journal entry... Al Gore eat your heart out
Well, I figured I'd write about something on my mind a lot, so as to give any strangers out there just a little window into my mind!
I can't stop thinking about this ABC special that aired last week, called Earth 2100, a 2-hour special all about the next 90 years of humanity. It was friekin' SCARY! I was totally glued: they painted a worst-cast scenario of our planet if we make only minimal changes to our current population, pollution, & consumption trends - sea levels rising 6 feet, fresh water supplies drying up, planet temperature rising at least 10 degrees, and a global population that would peak at around 9 billion before plummeting to the 3 billion mark as resources disappear. Worst-case scenario for sure, but still it makes me want to appreciate nature and our way of life before possibly losing it all some day not too far away....
