I am a bit of a foodie. I would be a foodie period if I was less of a starving student ;-P. In my dream world, my dinners would consist of tasting menus with wine pairings, but that is more than a little outside my budget. Instead I cook recipes that take advantage of the farmers market whenever I have someone to feed, and eat whatever is convenient when I don't. I enjoy cooking, but its not worth the effort when eating alone. Plus, not many recipes scale down to one very well, and I hate eating the same thing every day for a week.
All of my interests can be summed up pretty well in "I like to make things." I knit, I cook, I write a bit, and I enjoy tech theatre when I have the time. Anything with structure and application is fun times.

Currently an engineering student at Berkeley, studying material science. Forced into part-time by frequent migraines. Its annoying.

Having an opinion. I currently work at Experience Project, giving feedback on user interface and search engine optimization. I have an opinion about the interface, and I propose a solution to things that I don't like and probably trip up the average user. Its rather fun.
I knit well too. I don't like sitting still, so I knit a lot ;-P

I honestly have no idea. I think I come off as rather abrasive though.

My favorites are rather nebulous. Favorite food is pretty much anything that all ingredients are pronounceable, and not made in a lab. Though I am little skeptical of any food that has been fermented.
Music: my opinions are easily swayed. I like things I can sing along to.
Movies: Fight Club. I am sure there are others, but that always comes to mind first.
Books: No clear favorite, but I like fantasy and sci-fi in general.
