My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I was born and raised in San Francisco and I have lived in the Bay Area and in Atlanta. As you can imagine, living in these places helps me to have a pretty broad perspective about people and the choices we make. It has. The short story is that it has helped me to be one who loves people. I like meeting all kinds of folks and digging in to find out what makes them tick. I believe that everyone has a story to tell and I want to be able to hear as many of these stories — and in as much detail — as I can.

I would like to hear your story. Not just read about it, although I will read every word that you've written on your profile here, but also hear you tell about you and hear how you tell about you.

I can hardly wait . . .

I am happy, healthy, and looking for the edge
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
With the exception of some short stints into the traditional world of 9-to-5ing, I have provided my own employment for all of my adult life. Primarily, I have operated a promotional products distributorship, supplying products that my clients use decorated with their logo, mascot, slogan or other message. But for the last two years I have been transitioning from this and I am working full time in the Financial Services industry. Now I work with families and individuals to help them make certain that they have their money in the right places, and that it is doing the right things, in order to accomplish their goals and their dreams.
And, yes, I continue to believe in and practice shameless self-promotion. I have even started a blog (about finances), it might give some more insight into who I am:

Not that work is all that I am doing with my life, it is just that my biggest portion of time is committed to it right now. But that will not last too long. The best part is that my work is more like a crusade (many families are in need of the financial education and resources that I provide to help them have a solid and clear financial road map), I approach each day with great enthusiasm knowing that what I do matters for folks.

In addition to working I also am a member of several organizations that do fabulous work here at home and across the country.

You have so much stuff you can ask me about...I think I will stop telling it all!
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
making stove-top popcorn; writing press releases (PMA at work here); marking 'Like' on facebook; graphic design; meeting deadlines; being on time; being; and some other stuff, too.
The first things people usually notice about me

is that I am usually smiling and generally happy. No particular reason, I just love being me and being alive. This is such a wonderful life.

I'm all over the place really, I'll try most anything. Twice.

The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Six things? Okay, here are six tangibles that I would rather not do without:
- laptop
- internet
- cell phone
- vehicle
- pen
- my glasses

Most of these things are, as a practical matter, what I need and use during the course of most days. I will mention my work on here (probably a few times) since it takes a good piece of my time and focus, these are my usual tools.

And here are six not-so-tangible things that I prefer to have:
- love
- companionship
- opportunity
- appreciation
- honesty
- hope

Of course there is so much more to my life than simply existing. It is the interaction with other people, ultimately, that make each day meaningful. These are some of the things I value and will not do without.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
the inconsistencies and the delicate nature of life.

And other stuff, too.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
I come from a big family and I have a lot of friends, so on a Friday night (really this is true of any night) I might find myself doing any number of things.

I might [go to a movie]. I could go visit someone's house. I could catch a plane to visit some part of the country (typically as part of my work, but usually on a Thursday).

Many Fridays are spent like other nights: I am self-employed building my small enterprise, so I spend a lot of time developing it.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit

I'm afraid of spiders.
