My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Okay so here's the deal, I'm terribly bored... and frankly, it's
exhausting constantly being on the look out for a nice man in the
dirty streets of LA. My name's Erika (obviously). I'm generally a
friendly, down to earth kind of girl- but, honestly, I get a bit
snarky and sarcastic sometimes. Some of my friends and family might
say that I'm neurotic, I like to call that quirk. I'll admit I am a
little immature, but not as in "reality TV" drama.. more like crazy
silly fun. Also, I always seem to be up really late. I often enjoy
"making things" late at night. For a good majority of my life I
have aspired to embody any sort of creativity or create any kind of
beauty, but trust me--i am no Van Gogh. Alas, I have yet to
discover that I have any great artistic talents, so now I
vicariously seek to surround myself with the company of those
creatively talented and beautiful things!
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm a student. I work. Blah blah blah
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
making pie
being generally unorganized
putting together a tent
sleeping in
breaking things
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Either than I'm a bit quiet but sweet tempered, or that I'm a total mess and completely scatterbrained. It's usually one of the two.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books- I love reading (especially childrens books!). A few of my favorite are The Elegance of a Hedgehog, The Little Prince (Dessine-moi un mouton!), The Giving Tree, Godric, and various types of coffee table books.

Movies- I could absolutely sit on my living room floor with a bag of gummy bears and watch movies from dusk till dawn. Some of my favorites include (but are not limited to)- The Graduate (of course), Leon the Professional, The Royal Tenenbaums, Edward Scissorhands, Reality Bites, Pride and Prejudice, The Harry Potter series(10 points for Gryffindor!!!), Big Fish, The Kings Speech, A Single Man, A Serious Man (and anything else buy the Coen Brothers), Stardust, Two for the Road.....this could go on for ages

TV- I loved the show "Pushing Dasies" until it was canceled... those bastards. I've seen every episode of Sex and the City about a thousand times... it's a girl thing- dont try to understand it, just accept it. I also like: Two and a Half Men (before Charlie was replaced by Aston), Man Woman Wild, True Blood, Game of Thrones, Man vs Food, and an assortment of home design shows.

Music- Unlike most of my generation, thanks to the birth of the ipod (thanks Steve Jobs, may your bloody brilliant soul rest in peace), I can't recall the artist and name of every song I hear. And I don't put a lot of effort into discovering cool bands nobody has every heard of. But I do love music, it makes me feel good. Music that I could never get tired of- Fleetwood Mac, Coldplay, The doors, Pearl Jam, The beatles, Tegan and Sara, Adele

Food- Yeah, it's a favorite pastime of mine. It's very rare that you would see me pass up trying something new, I mean if you stick a Balut (a boiled egg with a nearly developed baby duck inside) under my nose we might have some problems. I love the food truck scene. I love pho'. I love pastrami sammys. My two favorite foods are sushi and homemade (note: this part is very important) spaghetti, as long as they aren't on the same plate.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Places to try to new or outrageously delicious food
Odd and curious things/people to wonder about
Art and creatively inclined people
Tea (preferably black with cream and sugar please)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
I'm kind of obcessed with quotes. Some examples would be:

A man must be able to cut a knot, for everything cannot be untied. -Henri Fredric Amiel

What men want is not knowledge, but certainty. Bertrand Russell

"Let everything happen to you, Beauty and terror, Just keep going, No feeling is final" - Rainer Maria Rilke

The absence of flaw in beauty is itself a flaw. -Havelock Ellis

Sanity is very rare: every man almost, and every woman, has a dash of madness. -Ralph Waldo Emerson
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
I am usually with my sister and/or with friends. Where? Who knows... but generally on the weekends we frequent art walks, lounges, flea markets, cafes, bars, and taco trucks.
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
If you have something more to say than "hey, you're cute". Compliments are sweet and always accepted, but a little mundane.
If you have never (admittedly) taken a "mirror pic"
Maybe if you have brown hair and a bit of scruff.
If you have atleast a few creative bones in your body.
If you open doors for ladies.
