My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I've been seeing somebody who I met on OKCupid for 2 years now. I actually just reactivated my account to look back over our first messages. Good luck!

I have a weakness for seashell hunting, flea markets, and street food. One day soon I would really like to drive across the country and explore the Badlands, maybe on a cruiser. As a general rule, I will say "yes" to any idea that involves boats, mountains, bicycles, driving out of the city, making art, or buying airline tickets.

Playing music has always been a big part of my life. In the years after college, I built up a piano studio and played in a little band with some eccentric characters. I also play around on the guitar and have big dreams of playing the fiddle in a celtic band.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Setting up circuit boards for twenty pairs of sticky little hands.
Reading articles with way too many acronyms.
Planning my rise to fame and power as an arts integration specialist.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Labeling things inappropriately
Drinking copious amounts of green tea
Making anatomically correct molasses animals
Doing a mean downward dog
Playing Elton John power ballads
Mental math
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I have a ready smile and big blue eyes. I laugh easily and I'm an honest and loyal friend. I also have a tendency to believe I've lost my keys or cell phone, only to find it in my jacket or overly-pocketed purse five minutes later.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books: I just finished The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle which was definitely trippy and made me very aware of large facial birthmarks. A friend just gave me Stephen King's new book, 11/22/63, and I can't put it down - gotta love page turners. Other recent favorites include Imagine: How Creativity Works, Blink, and Musicophilia.

Movies: Most Coen Brothers movies (especially The Big Lebowski and Fargo), Kill Bill, and Little Miss Sunshine. More recently, Moonrise Kingdom and Zero Dark Thirty. I'm also always psyched to see any James Bond Movie.

Shows: I just started watching Breaking Bad and am already on the third season - awesome show! Also love Homeland, The Office, Arrested Development, and Parks and Recreation.

Music: most recently Charles Bradley, Head and the Heart, Altan (celtic music), and Paul Simon. Also love Johnny Cash, Elvis Costello, Primal Scream, Kraftwork, Heart, Bonnie Raitt, old jazz standards performed by Ella Fitzgerald, Louis Armstrong and Sarah Vaughan, Chopin’s Nocturnes, Debussy, Brahms, J.S. Bach, Granados, Philip Glass, and some Terry Riley.

Food: crunchy peanut butter, fuji apples, papaya with lime, passion fruit, mint chocolate chip and pralines and cream ice cream, baked figs with goat cheese, grilled cheese and tomato sandwiches.

On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
I like mellow Fridays evenings which often means a cold beer, baking some cookies, and watching a movie with some friends or family. Now that the weather is warming up, I'd be more up for walking around the city or partaking in bike parties. If I'm really lucky, I'll be in the car, heading out of town!
The most private thing I’m willing to admit

I have more than fifty shades of grey. . . . a lot more.
