I was born and raised in San Francisco, and although I left my heart there, I'm planning to be in New York for a while.

I'm a journalist with a pretty serious addiction to wikipedia and Diet Coke. I'm a stickler for grammar and I'm always up for a good debate. Also, I really like when an answer to a multiple choice question is "irrelevant." Way to go, OKCupid.

I like watching movies, reading (my dvd collection is rivaled only by my book collection), the San Francisco Giants (obsessively following them year-round is probably my main vice), reading in bars, spy novels, traveling, writing, Mitch Hedberg, dancing, Sherlock Holmes, beer, politics, history, British crime shows and comedies, etc.

I work at a huge international news organization. I write, film, produce, etc. I'm also the assistant to one of the anchors.

Also, I can name all the countries in the world. I know, I know. It brings all the boys to the yard.

Remembering useless trivia. My job. Dancing in totally out-of-date styles (the Charleston and the jerk are my specialities).

I love Thai food, I miss In&Out, I really hate peanut butter, and one time my dentist told me I eat too many apples (really). Also, to me, coffee is a food group by itself. Chocolate too. And I have a weird thing for snapea crisps.

As for music, I'll give anything a listen, but my favorite genres are oldies and classic rock, crusty old blues, classic r&b and soul, folk, folk rock, bluegrass, Amy Winehouse, and Prince. I also have a pretty kick ass vinyl collection.

My favorite books are The Power of One, Fear and Loathing on the Campaign Trail, The Groucho Letters: Letters to and from Groucho Marx, All the President's Men, The Spy Who Came In From The Cold, Just Kids, The Great Gatsby, The Art of Fielding, and Up in the Old Hotel.

And movies - I really love watching movies. Actually, the worst thing about New York is that movie tickets are damn expensive; I have a somewhat embarrassing habit of going to the movies before noon because the tickets are half price.
