I am thinking, calm, and silly.

My Self-Summary

A self-summary, eh? I am just a college student, a simple girl, but slightly complex, I suppose. I am an E/INTP on the MBTI (Google it) and a 9/5 on the Enneagram. I suppose that should tell you enough about my standard personality, without my having to come up with too much at the moment.

Oh, and the word silly? Yeah, that basically describes me in person. Silly and random.

What I’m doing with my life

Right now, I am a student at a tiny college in Indiana, loving life. I'm not 100% sure what I want to do with my life after college yet; I've not even decided on a major. At the moment I have several ideas floating around, which include writing, teaching, and behavioral sciences. Perhaps I will find some way to combine the three. Perhaps.

I’m really good at

I have been told that I am excellent at writing. I happen to agree with those that have told me that.

Other than that, I am decent at making random insightful comments.

The first things people usually notice about me

First impressions from friends who have known me for a while were that I am weird, intelligent, quiet, and aloof. After getting to know me, the aloofness and quietness fade, but the weirdness and intelligence apparently do not. Physically, I am quite tall, and I have incredibly dark eyes.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

The only book I can really say is my favorite is Les Miserables. Other than that, I only have favorite authors. They are Theodore Dalrymple, Frank Peretti, Francis Schaeffer, Ravi Zacharias, Dietrich Bonhoeffer, Thomas Sowell, Neil Postman, and Ted Dekker before I gained the ability to deduce the entire story of his books based on reading the first three pages because he uses the same plot for nearly all of them. I enjoy anything, though, of a philosophical/existential nature. And poetry.

My favorite movies are the LOTR trilogy, Schindler's List, Ordinary People, Remember the Titans, Finding Nemo, 2:37, The Dark Knight, Waking Life, Beauty and the Beast, Miracle, and, recently, Juno.

As for music, I enjoy almost anything but country. My favorite music is all purely instrumental, and of that, I particularly enjoy dissonance.

The six things I could never do without

Hmm.

1. My faith
2. Thought
3. Other people
4. Books
5. Nature
6. ...Oxygen

I spend a lot of time thinking about

Oh my. I think a lot, so this question is difficult. But... connection between people, expression, psychology, philosophy, truth, the nature of intelligence and its different forms... Anything abstract and relating to life in general, really.

On a typical Friday night I am

I'll probably be out with my friends, playing cards or Risk or having some discussion or something.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I used to self-injure. And that's not even really a private thing, although it seems like it is, because I do wear things (such as short-sleeve shirts) that show the scars to anyone who sees me.

You should message me if

You are a thinker and interested in having fascinating conversations/debates.
