I am 27. That much is easy to affirm... I'm a chic--a cool chic I guess...laid back, open-minded and open-hearted, love to laugh and talk about deep shit... I tend to take myself too seriously and think too much, especially when asked to summarize the self i have constructed or when trying to speculate about the future. I guess I should mention that I am super into traveling, mysticism, music, and different cultures/languages, especially Arab(ic) and French.

Yikes...uh, i'm into languages..cultures...religions...i'm into people. more practically speaking, i just finished a masters in middle eastern and islamic studies, and i'm currently doing a masters in international affairs...not so sure what after that, and that is sort of how my life is--I tend to float and fall into great surroundings, but it is a highly improvised path I stumble upon...

I'm pretty good at jeopardy. I am adaptable to different people and places. I am good at speaking other languages, uh, i mean both literally and figuratively. I am good at being honest and sincere, which has differing effects on people... hackey sack... video games, backgammon...tennis...swimming...

I smile a lot. I laugh a lot. People may notice that I'm an open book, although they later realize I am a really long confusing book, too!

Books: kurt vonnegut, david sedaris, paul auster, Sufi spiritual books, scfi like enders game and snowcrash... stuff about Islam and the middle east, frenchy lit and poetry---from rumi to baudelaire...authentic stuff!

Movies: darren aronofsky! the fountain is my favorite...luc besson (the professional/leon!), kurosawa movies... the hidden fortress, wes anderson...rushmore, kubrick, tarantino, baraka...trainspotting, lotr...lots!

Music: Radiohead, Wu-Tang Clan, Atlas Sound, Memory Tapes, Aphex Twin, M83, Bjork, Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, Boards Of Canada, Pinback, The Notwist, Sonic Youth, Binary Star, Fleet Foxes... lots!

TV: twin peaks, the daily show and colbert report, the wire, arrdev, game of thrones, bsg, tng, it's always sunny, abfab, strangers with candy (imdb that sh*t), ru paul, californication. lots!

Food: Middle Eastern, Indian, sushi, northwest fancy fusion stuff, thai, vietnamese, all of it.

Music, a hoodie, i'm gonna cheat: my messenger bag full of my goodies (ipod, heaphones, tasbi7, tea tree oil toothpicks, smokes), a book, good company, coffee

the future... myself and (ideally) self-betterment... the cosmos and seeking to unearth the unifying theory of everything through feeling and intuition, despite my lack of knowledge of basic science.
