I am a "Cultural Marxist" according to the creepy Norway guy.

I say he drop the cultural!

Also, riot nrrd and a feminist.

And a kinkster.

And GGG.

I value and give, high energy, intense focus, warmth and empathy - and in particular seek clear communication even when it might come off hurtfully (valuing the larger picture over the white lie or smoothing over), and challenge/tough questions that make me and us think/change for the better.

What I’m doing with my life
Working and studying. Adapting still to the hardcore living in NYC stuff.

Am a dad.

I edit wikipedia, and are a Veteran II (or Grand Tutnum) editor with over 12,000 edits.

I am also into left-nerditude and sometimes even organizing.
I’m really good at
Knots! Conversation! Strategy! Thinking! None of which can be sold...

I sell my excellent computer skills, but no way in hell am I ever going to be your techboi. In any case I need a techgrrl!
The first things people usually notice about me
I talk. And my beard. And that I look like every guerrilla commander in Latin American history. :-p
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Non-fiction (biographies of quirky characters, history, sexuality, evolutionary sciences, and - surprise! - technology). Fiction (alternate history sci-fi and the classics - the state of literature today is so bad the only writers that excite me are there!).

(Keywords: Harry Turtledove, Bruce Sterling, Neal Stephenson, William Gibson, Phillip K. Dick, Frans de Waal, Stephen Jay Gould, Richard Dawkins, Stan Goff, Karl Marx, Mikhail Bakunin, Mao Zedong, Buenaventura Durruti, Rosa Luxemburg, Tom Holt)

I am into everything from Ambient to Zydeco, but have a soft spot for britpop, punk, hardcore, reggae, ska, and skinhead/mod music in general. Yeah I like Beirut, Deerhof/ Deerhoff/Deerhoof, Mano Negra/Manu Chao, The Decemberists and all that other music I am supposed to like... but I also think "Millenium" by Robbie Williams is one of the greatest pop songs of all time. And don't get me started on why shoegaze is the bomb.

Due to questions, when I mean that eclectic, I mean that eclectic. Radio Tarifa is in heavy rotation with medieval music from Europe and classic Salsa. Maybe American pop I don't listen much to, and I never developed a taste for Opera (although a random opera or two exist that I like).

Of course, I am a Groop fan. For non-groopies, that means I dig Stereolab with Sadistic (Therefore I owe you not gratitude but hatred!) and French Disko (La resistance!) my favorite songs

Nucleo Terco, just in the off chance.

Of course must mention reggaeton and bachata for ethno-cultural reasons.

I am a foodie. Seriously. I cook vegan at home, but do the meat-is-murder thing outside.

My movies Top Ten:

Bronenosets Potyomkin - (Battleship Potempkin)

Das Cabinet des Dr. Caligari - (The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari)

Citizen Kane

A Clockwork Orange - the novel too!

Le Fabuleux destin d'Amélie Poulain (aka Amelie)

La Jetée - The Jetty

Magnolia

Modern Times

Soy Cuba - (akaYa Kuba and I am Cuba)

Un chien andalou

And so I like a lot of movies, as art and/or as entertainment... but these are my faves.
The six things I could never do without
Company/Cuddles. Conversation. Cats. Chow. Creativity. Coitus.

Not in any order... (and yes my thesaurus is smokin' right now!!!)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
The future. Mine, my family's and humanity's.

Why OKCupid is an addiction?

The difference between observing reality and transforming it.
On a typical Friday night I am
This question is very stupid. I don't have a typical anything.

Seriously.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I am a teddy bear in spite of all the bad-ass kinky stuff. Really.

Sometimes I get tired of having to initiate contact, so I will just stalk a profile I like until the person stalks me back. Seldom does it work, but its a small way to stick it up to (hetero)normativity...

I can be in love with more than one person at a time. In fact, I am right now.

Am not really interested in casual sex, but the new system kinda calls for it.

I had listed "girls" in the "looking for" section but it quivered gay women. While I grew up as a dykehag, and some of my best friends are lesbians, I rather let them initiate contact with me.

I have never had a monogamous relationship in my life.
I’m looking for
  • Guys and girls who like bi guys
  • Ages 29–55
  • Near me
  • For new friends, long-term dating, short-term dating
You should message me if
If you feel I am worth contacting... I seeking to expand my circle of friends and lovers, and it would suck to miss the opportunity. Write to me. I will not read anything into it other than what you say.

I love to hear from genderfuckers, nerds, geeks, left-wing/socialist activists, artists. Specially their intersections.

If you want to re-enact scenes from The Secretary, I am game.

If you want to organize an emergency demo around an issue I care about, I am game.

You must not be afraid of intensity. I am intense.

You want to help me lose weight :D

Are non-monogamous and have children. I am curious about other people's experiences around this.

DO NOT WANT:

anyone that says they listen to "everything but country"
