I've been living in Fresno now for several years and the singles scene has been challenging to say the least. Just about everyone asks me what brought me here, so here goes.... I'm originally from Cleveland and I first moved to the Bay Area for optometry school at Berkeley. After graduating, I spent another year in Baltimore for my residency training. I missed California and so I accepted a job here in Fresno at a large hospital. Here I am now...... I love my job, but I am pretty lonely in Fresno. All my family and most of my friends are in different cities and states. I've found it difficult to meet new people outside of work, especially when I'm a busy working professional. That's what led me to try this site. It would be great to meet someone in the Fresno area, but I'm very willing to date someone further away as long as you are open to the idea as well. We could become friends first and with a little luck hopefully things might blossom into a serious relationship. I'm definitely ready to find that one special person and I guess searching online might increase my chances :) My ideal partner would be intelligent, attractive, lead a healthy lifestyle, have a warm and caring nature about them, have a great sense of humor, and also be able to put up with me :) ha ha ha... I make that sound pretty difficult, but I swear I'm pretty easy going. Hope to hear from you!

I'm a staff optometrist at the Veterans hospital in Fresno. We have a large teaching program and I am involved in teaching optometry students and residents.

I'd like to think I'm pretty good at my job, both taking care of our veterans vision and teaching my students and residents. Outside of work I think I'm pretty handy with home projects and fixing things... more importantly, I know my limits and when to call a professional :)

They typically notice my smile and ask me if I've ever had braces... no braces, just got lucky :)

It's been quite a while since I've had the time to do some leisure reading :( I'm typically reading an article from a medical journal unfortunately. I don't watch a lot of TV, but my select favorites are Seinfeld, Top Chef, and The Office. I love sushi, Vietnamese pho, Thai food, Korean BBQ, most types of seafood, Persian food, Indian food, and Italian.
