I pretty much just got into town. I've spend the last three years of my life in Philly going to law school. I'm relatively new to the area, and want to explore more of what the north bay has to offer.
Currently I'm staying with extended family, working full time, and studying for the bar. I'll start apartment hunting once things settle down for me. Anyway...
I know it's often said, but how the hell does someone actually summarize his or herself? I feel like I'm being asked to give my elevator pitch to would-be dates. That's overrated—so here are some random tidbits (I feel like you can only really get to know someone by talking to them anyway):
I've wanted to be a lawyer since 8th grade.
I believe in listening, empathy, and action.
I believe there are really only two things in life that I can control: my attitude and my effort.
I am absolutely an unabashed nerd.
While I am most curious about all things law/politics/philosophy, I like know a little about a lot. So whatever your passion is, I'll probably dig it too.
I'm super into typography.
After three years of law school, I love that I'm able to read fiction again.
I had brain surgery in 7th grade. (Chiari malformation).
Despite multiple trips to Disney World/Land, I've never met Mickey (sneaky bastard).
I have a dry, dark, quirky, and occasionally juvenile sense of humor.
I enjoy schadenfreude.
Sometimes I find myself chuckling at things that no one else finds entertaining.
I'm tired of the IPA craze... I get it... it has hops. Cool story. I like IPAs too, but sometimes it's nice to have something a bit more complex.
I know why it's called an IPA.
As much as I enjoy craft beer/microbrews, I enjoy Miller High Life and PBR just as much.
I believe in loyalty, integrity, and trust.
I love being outdoors.
I miss city life.
I love music, movies, and art.
I loathe the question: "What do you do for fun?"
I don't do online dating; I do online introductions.
I have ADHD—predominately inattentive type.
I believe in the right to choose and marriage equality.
I believe in being both chivalrous and a feminist.
I'm attracted to strong, intelligent, and independent women.
I am utterly incapable of taking a flattering selfie (or pictures in general).
For me, a good conversation is the greatest aphrodisiac.
This should be enough fodder to get us started, yeah?
