This quote pretty much sums it all up:
"When you first arrive in a new city nothing makes sense. Everything is unknown, virgin. After you’ve lived here, walked these streets you’ll know them inside out, you’ll know these people. Once you’ve lived here crossed this street 10, 20, 1000 times, It’ll belong to you because you’ve lived there. That was about to happen to me but I didn’t know it yet." - L'auberge espagnole
In addition to traveling, I'm a total bookworm and film buff. I also love cooking - especially choosing something that maybe you wouldn't normally make at home (i.e. sushi, ramen, khinkali) and giving it a go.
I love learning new languages and exploring cities. I love to find out what free/cheap events are going on like concerts or art exhibits and do something new every weekend. Even when I lived in New York, I felt that people forgot that they lived in an amazing city where they could have picnics at Central Park or find a billion free concerts or events to go to.
Being in Georgia has reminded me of how much I like being out in nature. I'm not a super hiker or whatnot, but I do like to get out of the city sometimes and go camping, swimming, skiing or try something new.
I guess I would say that I'm looking for a down to earth guy who shares some of the same interests as me and want to do something fun in the city. Intelligence is probably one of the most important things to me along with kindness. Ambitious without pretentiousness is key. Biggest turn-off is being an asshole and/or classist, racist or close-minded.
