My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I love traveling and going on adventures in foreign lands. I lived in Ukraine for two years, finished a Master's Degree in human rights and now I'm living near Tbilisi, Georgia for the next few months. Excited to see where life takes me next.

This quote pretty much sums it all up:

"When you first arrive in a new city nothing makes sense. Everything is unknown, virgin. After you’ve lived here, walked these streets you’ll know them inside out, you’ll know these people. Once you’ve lived here crossed this street 10, 20, 1000 times, It’ll belong to you because you’ve lived there. That was about to happen to me but I didn’t know it yet." - L'auberge espagnole

In addition to traveling, I'm a total bookworm and film buff. I also love cooking - especially choosing something that maybe you wouldn't normally make at home (i.e. sushi, ramen, khinkali) and giving it a go.

I love learning new languages and exploring cities. I love to find out what free/cheap events are going on like concerts or art exhibits and do something new every weekend. Even when I lived in New York, I felt that people forgot that they lived in an amazing city where they could have picnics at Central Park or find a billion free concerts or events to go to.

Being in Georgia has reminded me of how much I like being out in nature. I'm not a super hiker or whatnot, but I do like to get out of the city sometimes and go camping, swimming, skiing or try something new.

I guess I would say that I'm looking for a down to earth guy who shares some of the same interests as me and want to do something fun in the city. Intelligence is probably one of the most important things to me along with kindness. Ambitious without pretentiousness is key. Biggest turn-off is being an asshole and/or classist, racist or close-minded.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Living in Georgia (country) working on human and women's rights issues. It's a beautiful country with lovely people, mountains, food and wine.

Also in the process of looking for a full-time job for after my contract ends.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Reading, listening, typing really fast, learning languages, planning vacations and making sushi
The first things people usually notice about me

Books: Game of Thrones, A Thousand Splendid Suns, Brandon Sanderson, Robert Jordan, Harry Potter, Robin Hobb, and a ton more. I mostly read fiction. Most recently, I read The Lies of Locke Lamora and The Poisonwood Bible. Would love some book suggestions!

Movies: Gladiator, 300, Super Troopers, Mean Girls, Garden State, Mel Brooks films, Quentin Tarantino films, Braveheart, LOTR, Inception, Her, Wolf of Wall Street, and Space Jam obviously, I'm a total film buff and almost minored in film studies in college. Watching all of the AFI Top 100 is definitely on my to-do list.

Music: I like almost everything except country and opera. I can often be found jamming out to 90s rock.

Food: Sushi is my absolute favorite and I love making it at home. Also love Mexican food and popcorn. I'm always up for trying something new!!

TV Shows: Battlestar Galactica, True Blood, Dexter, The Sopranos, Game of Thrones, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Friends, Parks and Rec, The Mindy Project, Project Runway, Top Chef, Iron Chef (Japanese version), Orphan Black, House of Cards, Sense8, Black Mirror, Walking Dead, Breaking Bad, ect...and I watch too much tv haha
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1. Netflix
2. Books
3. Movies
4. Cellphone
5. Passport
6. Family & Friends
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Where am I going to live next? Which country can I visit next? Also, when I get back to the US, do I see Jurassic World in 3D or not? This is a very serious question.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Probably out at a bar with some friends. I'm much prefer bars to clubs. If I'm going out on a Friday night, I'll probably prefer to do something more low-key on a Saturday - cooking something fancy and some Netflix or seeing if there is something to do around town.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I love reading fantasy books. I guess I'm a bit of a nerd!
