My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Hi! Glad you stopped by.

I would describe myself as a curious and even keeled explorer. I love life and get energy from experiences - whether that is coffee with a neighbor that just moved in around the corner, trying out new restaurants, experimenting with art, learning how to sail, starting a business or traveling across the globe. I'm open, gracious and a bit of a risk taker.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I am a gatherer. I love gathering a mix of people around the table for good food, laughs and conversation.

I work in an innovative organization that I look forward to spending my days at. I have my own small business too, which challenges me and gives me a lot of space to wonder and create, which I need.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Collecting typewriters and suitcases.
Cooking, hosting and feasting.
Packing everything I need for a three week trip into a small shoulder bag.
Avoiding arrest in other countries.
Seeing the unconventional in the conventional.
Making things happen.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My laugh. I am often cracking up.
People seem to notice and be drawn to my enthusiasm, intentionality and spunk.
I also get comments and compliments about my eyes, smile and unruly curls.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books intrigue me-their content, feel and design. I'll admit, I've judged a book by its cover. I enjoy the work of Michael Chabon, Nicole Krauss, Sloane Crosby, Salinger, Dave Eggars and Meister Eckhart. I never tire of Rilke and Sabrina Ward Harrison.

My favorite book of all time involves a tambourine playing, too-big-for-him boot stomping kid named Oskar. Jonathan Safran Foer's writing in Extremely Loud, Incredibly Close is riveting.

I enjoy music, especially live. My selection has quite a bit of variety--from Okkervil River to Lil' Wayne. I love Jay Z. Other artists/bands that I listen to often are: Beyoncé, Wilco, Feist, Drake, M.Ward, Radiohead, Ella Fitzgerald, Sam Cooke, Kanye...

As far as movies go, I'm usually up for anything. I love Amelie and other artsy films. I tend toward memoirs in books and appreciate films with a similar feel. I thought Closer was brilliant. I died laughing on a flight from Munich to NYC thanks to I Love You Man.

I view food as an artistic medium, but also appreciate its simple goodness. I love cooking and going out to eat almost equally. The way coming around a table looks, feels and tastes in different cultures is particularly fascinating to me. I'm almost always in the mood for Mexican, Cuban or a good slice of pizza.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
The ocean.
The sun.
Hot yoga.
A trip on the horizon.
Old things.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Concept restaurants and hotels.
Keeping my plants alive.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Out and about exploring, playing, sipping wine, sledding, hosting dinner parties, creating art... Mostly enjoying life and embracing culture.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I am slightly obsessed with all things nautical.
My handwriting is difficult to distinguish from Arabic calligraphy.
The rest will remain a mystery for now.
