I am funny, thoughtful, and curious.

My Self-Summary

My interestingness can not be contained in any series of textboxes. Though, here's a taste....

My hobbies include cooking, learning how to play the piano and guitar better, Toastmasters, arts & crafts, reading, TV, and wasting time on the internet (for example, here, programming websites, or playing World of Warcraft). But mostly, I spend time on college or work.

I most often read science fiction, fantasy, business books, and textbooks.

I'd much rather watch movies that are science fiction, fantasy, or ones where stuff blows up than a chick flick any day.

My favorite TV shows have been Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, Firefly, and Whose Line is it Anyway?

And I have, of course, been waiting for *you* to send me a message!

What I’m doing with my life

I am planning to graduate with a bachelors in Finance this fall from the University of Houston-Downtown. I chose this degree because I would like to own and run businesses without them going bankrupt. I got my associates in computer programming.

I'm self-employed. I design websites, doing both the programming and graphics. I'm currently expanding, starting to contract out a lot more work because I've built up a waiting list. I've also been working part-time in financial services since 2002. I have various licenses so that I can help people with their personal finances.

I've been in Toastmasters since 2003 to improve my public speaking and leadership skills, and just to have fun. I go to meetings every week.

All this keeps me very busy, but I enjoy having a flexible schedule.

I’m really good at

most things involving computers, cooking. I'm still young and don't claim to be an expert at much yet. I'm interested in many subjects and like to try new things.

The first things people usually notice about me

I'm very petite, so people notice that. I've been told I have a cute smile.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

I hate making favorites lists. I may update this section later.

I most often listen to various types of rock, or classical music. I don't like twangy modern country songs. I can tolerate it if it's in the background when I'm attempting to dance.

The bands I've listened to the most this month are The Offspring, Linkin' Park, and Muse.

I like many kinds of foods, but don't eat out a lot. When I do, I like Chinese, Italian, seafood, and spicy foods. Or a hamburger.

The six things I could never do without

Air, water, food... Maslow's hierarchy of needs. I can make do without a lot.

I do rather like my computer, the internet, air conditioning, and indoor plumbing.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

How to solve the challenges of the human race. :)

On a typical Friday night I am

On the computer or out with friends.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I first signed up with this site years ago when there was only one text box. I forgot I'd signed up until a couple of months ago, but now I'm trying it out again. I meet a lot of people, but not a lot of single guys even vaguely around my age.

You should message me if

you like what you read and want to know more.

I may not be checking in to this site much until after December when classes end, and I graduate. I have 3 classes and 2 self-employment jobs. My business strategy class alone is like an extra job.

So, I'll only log in randomly this semester. If you'd like to be the winner of a randomly-timed reply by me, go ahead and say hello. ;)
